How You Can Pray. Has this year been crazy for everyone or just us? Can you even believe that fall is on the way? I know I can’t. This year has been so busy and full of, well, just living life! Despite our busy lives and all of the distractions that come our way, God is good! He is our provider. It is amazing to me the things that he has done and continues to do for us and through us. The decision to adopt siblings from Africa, although pushed forward by our hearts took a lot of answering head based questions. Can we afford this? How many can we adopt? What country to adopt from? Is, it stands for Date To Ethiopia and refers to the date that our Dossier left the United States and traveled to Ethiopia! It was fun to get up every morning and fire up the laptop first thing to see where it was, we went from Virginia to New Jersey, then New Jersey to Kolen. Germany, from Kolen. Friday, January 6, 2012. My poor neglected blog! But when you almost double the amount of children you have.and none of them nap, it's the first thing to go.along with long hot showers, dinner with your husband, and girls night out.but sooooooo very worth it! I've come to realize a 5 minute Luke warm shower, sleeping in the same bed as my husband, and girls night in is a fine trade! So where do I start? Who knew I'd thank God one day for chicken pox! And thus began our life as a family of, gulp, seven!

Thursday, April 14, 2011. I had to laugh when we sat down at the lunch table at a local restaurant and started looking over the menu, it was Mexican food. I play guit/vox in a band called "no longer micah". Thursday, November 09, 2006. The beloved Flickinger family hamster "Elephant" died today at 1:25 PM. She was suffering severe trauma to her intestines - with no hope of recovery. She enjoyed a few minutes of sunshine outside before she was quietly put to sleep with the aide of a shovel. Funeral arrangements are being made - with a sour cream container as a coffin. The family is planning to bury her today. She will be missed. Monday, November 06, 2006.
