Cheryl's World: Random nonsense
http://cherylvaughan.blogspot.com/2009/05/random-nonsense.html
Welcome to my world: full of four sweet boys, a great husband, and various other ramblings about my ever interesting life. Sunday, May 24, 2009. So I don't really have enough to say on one topic for a stand alone blog post, so here's just a little bit about lots of things. And in number form, too. Yes, I'm a geek. My squash and zucchini plants are covered with tons of yellow flowers, and the beginnings of squash and zucchini. The tomatoes are also growing like crazy, with tons of tomatoes popping out.

Welcome to my world: full of four sweet boys, a great husband, and various other ramblings about my ever interesting life. Monday, June 15, 2009. And for other bits of random nonsense. Check out the huge scary spider that was not nearly far enough from our back door yesterday. The water bottle is, obviously, so that you can see just how big and nasty the spider is. Equally obvious is the fact that I am NOT the one holding the bottle. So not getting that close:. Pitiful, isn't it? And singing the school s...

girl meets world: Firsts
http://leafyme.blogspot.com/2012/05/firsts.html
And lots of other mundane firsts that seem significant only to a baby's parents. :). But also, my first Mother's Day. Thanks, Baby. I'm glad you're here. Oatmeal or peanut butter waffles. Lunches: leftover baked ziti, carrot-sweet potato soup, salads. Grapefruit, lactation cookies. Salad, grazing on random things. Stuffed pork roast, roasted Brussels sprouts, macaroni and cheese. Baked tofu, salad. I don’t know - can’t think that far in advance right now. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Quiche: It just sounds funny. What to do with all those cards? Aren’t you glad I DID say banana? On: February 3, 2009. My dad was going to throw away four overripe bananas because they were too mushy for him. (How a man with three natural teeth can find anything “too mushy” is beyond me.) His trash is my banana bread. 1-1/4 cups granulated sugar. 1/2 cup butter, softened. 1-1/2 cups mashed very ripe bananas (about 4 bananas). 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. Oh, I got it from the sam...

Foggy night in NYC. On: December 10, 2008. The fog rolls in. On: December 2, 2008. Our trip to Colorado was, as Devon noted, a journey from one meal to another. Such is the way of food — so much socialization happens around it that, by Monday morning, I had to roll myself onto the plane. Our road to obesity started Thursday, when we had dinner with his family at a restaurant that served turkey and all the fixings. I got to chat with Devon’s grandmother, who is about 92 and pretty awesome. Devon and I spe...

Breakfasts: baked steel cut oatmeal. Lunches: spinach salads, cottage cheese-veggie bake, soups from freezer (carrot, split pea). Snacks: grapefruit, trail mix, cheese stick. Cheesy scrambled eggs, potato pancakes, pork roll. Tuesday: vegetarian Mexican lasagna. Wednesday: at trivia, maybe grilled chicken salad. Thursday: leftover vegetarian Mexican lasagna. Friday: Swedish meatballs, lingonberry jam, mashed potatoes, mixed veg. Doesn't that mean we're saying that they didn't look good before? And that's...
