Friday, May 23, 2014. Walt Ride Day Trips: Mt Nebo. Thanks to Paul S. for this suggestion. Mt Nebo is a mountain (hill? South of Russellville with nice views. It also makes for a good destination ;-). There and back, with some creative routing, is about 250 miles and covers some of my favorite roads in the area: 16, 223 and 27. This would be a good trip if we need to find a larger town (Russellville) for some reason. Otherwise, many of the same roads are covered in my "crazy loops" route.

Not from rain but from the ridiculous humidity. There was no way to dry it all and it'd take hours to let it dry, so I packed it away wet. I only ran a couple miles because I wanted to get back before the hotel breakfast was over. We stopped off at the visitor center/diner and had some lunch. Sunday, September 20, 2009. September 20, 2009 - Headed Home. After falling asleep around 2am, for some reason I was up again at 6:30am. I was about to go to sleep then realized it was probably nearly sunrise and Lake Superior was off to the east, so that'd make for quite a view. We just rode a short ways down the road and parked in front of the Harley shop so dad could get another shirt. Then we walked down the road a little ways and settled on the Red Lodge Cafe for a late breakfast. Their breakfast burrito was excellent, especially with tabasco all over it. Thursday, June 3, 2010. Road Trip, day 4. This morning I just wasn't feeling like getting up early, so I turned on the TV to keep Isaac occupied and got another 20 or 30 minutes of sleep. After I while I knew it was pointless to try to sleep more, so I got up and we headed down for the continental breakfast. I ate pretty light because I wanted to get a run in again this morning. Along the way we went through Christmas, MI. It reminded me of the waters in Hawaii. We hiked to a couple of the lookouts.
