http://norskiesblog.blogspot.com/2014/05/walt-ride-day-trips-push-mountain-road.html
Monday, May 19, 2014. Walt Ride Day Trips: Push Mountain Road. Push Mountain Road is considered the "dragon" of the Ozarks. This is short (170 mile) loop with a coffee/lunch stop in Mountain Home. This would be a good mid-week ride to avoid traffic and LEO's. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Enter your email address:. View my complete profile. Walt Ride Day Trips: Good Roads. Thursday, May 1, 2014. Walt Ride 2014 - Day 1 (Red Wing, MN to Smithville, MO). First day of the Walt Ride will be from Red Wing to Smithville, MO. Kickstands UP from Caribou in Red Wing at 8am (they open at 5:30am). Be fed and fueled by 8am! Smithville is a pretty typical small midwestern town; food options include pizza, fast food and chinese. I suggest we just order something to be delivered to the hotel, and bring our own booze. The hotel should have soda vending machines and ice.

Tuesday, April 23, 2013. A few weeks back I took my first work-related trip of the year. My frequent flier status has dropped to Silver so I was only upgraded on one leg, but at least I'm still a Hilton Gold member, so I got free breakfast. Yay! Anyway, it was nice to visit a warm place in early April. Today, April 23rd, it snowed a new more inches here in Minnesota. We expect rain in May, but hardly freezing temperatures. So . Austin. Sunday, April 21, 2013. That group must think that there are some rea...

Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Who the #@&% was Ben Ash? Morning came, we walked across the street to a cafe and had a delicious breakfast. Then we saddled up and continued west on 212. Shortly after passing through an Indian reservation we discovered who Ben Ash was . Finally! We had been wondering about this for about six months. In our exuberance we had to show off our 'stiches. We are sexy beasts, no? We didn't have far to go to the next town, but I knew we were stretching it on fuel. The Shadow 1300 ha...

http://norskiesblog.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 27, 2012. And finally . Portland! Anyway the road was nice and smooth, albight it was a cool 60F. By 10:30 the traffic had increased significantly, and It was time to head inland on 34 to Corvallis. Unlike two years ago when Paul and I rode it and sat in construction traffic, this time, with the exception of a car and a logging truck quickly dispatched, I had the road to myself. As I went inland the temperature rose quickly. 3600 miles in six days! Sunday, December 23, 2012. You can't ...

Norskie's Blog: January 2013
http://norskiesblog.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 17, 2013. Living Between and Thugs and Gays. I spent a few days in December in Tampa, FL. At first I relished the thought of warm weather. But when presented with 80F and 150% humidity I started to sweat. After two days a cold front blew in, and the 65-73F temps were welcome. Next night I tried New World Brewery, and stashed some sacrificial cash into a pocket so if I get mugged the 1.5 blocks to the brewery, they would get $5 and a credit card. The New World Brewery was great! Next day...
