http://devoniain.blogspot.com/2012/10/hello-from-hawaiiiiiiiiiiii.html
Heading back to Ironman Florida for a 5th and FINAL time. Tuesday, 9 October 2012. It’s been a while. Hello from Kona, the home of Ironman Hawaii. I’m sat here, it’s 2am and wide awake – thank you jetlag – so I thought I’d do a quick blog update. Now I just need to figure how I get 3 months of happenings into a post short enough to send any reader over the edge. I’ll try to keep to the basics……. I’ve been injured! The original plan was to beat my 2010 time of 1:02 and aim to get under the hour, now IR...

http://devoniain.blogspot.com/2013/11/going-ultra_1.html
Heading back to Ironman Florida for a 5th and FINAL time. Friday, 1 November 2013. It's been a while, in fact a whole season has passed since I last posted anything. So what's been happening? Well after my last post Taunton Marathon turned out to be the disaster I forecast with my wonky injury causing me to bail out after just one of the two laps. Since then though things really haven't gone too badly at all, although over 6 months later and I've still hardly swam, or biked! Outlaw Half IM Tri. This was ...

IMFL - 4th time a charm?: Hayle Standard Distance Triathlon
http://imfl-3rdtimelucky.blogspot.com/2009/07/hayle-standard-distance-triathlon.html
IMFL - 4th time a charm? So in 2008 I failed to live up to the billing again! 2009 had better be good, this chase is costing a fortune. Tuesday, 28 July 2009. Hayle Standard Distance Triathlon. Vo2 Max Lab Testing at Exeter Uni). I racked my bike and my bike/run gear in transition which was one of the most organised and spacious transitions I’ve seen, plenty of room for all of your gear and bike with none of the cramped up spaces that you find at most races. Brilliant job folks! Did I mention the rain).

IMFL - 4th time a charm?: 6 months and counting.

IMFL - 4th time a charm? So in 2008 I failed to live up to the billing again! 2009 had better be good, this chase is costing a fortune. Saturday, 9 May 2009. 6 months and counting. Who knows, but I decided that as I was feeling so easy I could afford to let my HR rise by 5bpm. Not a big factor because I’d come into the race playing the safety card and in theory I ‘should’ be able to run it at close to 160bpm if required. 10miles done at a jog in 1:09:20, things were looking good. I hadn’t been able...

IMFL - 4th time a charm? So in 2008 I failed to live up to the billing again! 2009 had better be good, this chase is costing a fortune. Monday, 15 June 2009. Racing in) The sun and the rain. We stood in the clubhouse looking out to sea as they put the swim bouys out. "Are you sure that's the right distance? We asked. "It looks like a long way". A tiny field, but a win is a win (so they say) and a rare race where the swim takes longer than the run. Happy Days in the rain. 15 June 2009 at 19:28. Follow me ...

IMFL - 4th time a charm? So in 2008 I failed to live up to the billing again! 2009 had better be good, this chase is costing a fortune. Friday, 31 October 2008. Well, as I type this there’s 24hrs until the big kick off and I’m feeling sh*te! So now I was even going to have to pay over the odds if I wanted one. A couple of texts went off to club coach/equipment geek Toasty and he recommended the more expensive BlueSeventy over the 2XU. Could I justify the expense? Thursday, 30 October 2008. The original p...

IMFL - 4th time a charm?: Exe Valley Tri
http://imfl-3rdtimelucky.blogspot.com/2009/05/exe-valley-tri.html
IMFL - 4th time a charm? So in 2008 I failed to live up to the billing again! 2009 had better be good, this chase is costing a fortune. Thursday, 14 May 2009. A week after Neolithic Marathon, after training 18hrs in 10 days (my biggest consistant block this year) I found myself in Tiverton for the Exe Valley Sprint Triathlon. So do you rest up in advance of such a race? Finally I jogged into the finish with the 75th fastest run time of 22:44, around 5mins and 70 places from where I should have been.
