Adventures while studying in Milan Italy!
Note Milano: GREECE
http://notesfrommilan.blogspot.com/2012/05/greece.html
Adventures while studying in Milan Italy! So before the Finals Week happened, I took my last European adventure (at least for my time studying abroad) to Greece with Emily and Kelsey. It was hands down my most favorite trip i've taken. I can't comment too much about these pictures (plus the beauty and relaxingness speaks for itself) because I'm supposed to be writing a couple of papers now. The Athens port leaving on the Ferry to get to The island of Aegina . Day 2: Beach Day. 05 May, 2012 16:54. Just me...

Adventures while studying in Milan Italy! There are only 15 more days left until I depart from America for Italy. Along with the excitement and anticipation, there is an inevitable sense of "oh dear. I am going to a country, practically alone, where I do not speak the language well, and I have no idea what I am doing! There will be a discomfort that comes with surrounding yourself with a completely foreign world. But hopefully the discomfort will become a wonderful feeling or excitement.

Adventures while studying in Milan Italy! The Last of the Last. Last night was the farewell dinner, also known as the last supper. It wasn't quite as sad for me because I still have 2 more days in Milan. But saying goodbye to a few people was difficult (yes, I'm talking about you Emily). It feels so strange to be here, with the IES program finished (therefore no classes) and so many people I would normally hang out with, gone already! Although I do not think I'll miss my apartment. So before the Finals W...

Adventures while studying in Milan Italy! The past week or so. So, it has been fairly busy here in Milano. Last Thursday I had an adventure to find la scuola civica di musica, the state run music school for an audition or sorts. I had missed my appointment the week before because I got very very very lost in the freezing cold. I am supposed to take the metro, a tram, and then a bus, and then walk a few blocks. It's quite confusing for me! Yesterday (Monday) was all good untill- - -out power went out....

Adventures while studying in Milan Italy! In Napoli (in 4 parts): Part 1. When the moon hits your eye. Like a big pizza pie. The hostel we stayed at was great (Giovanni, the owner, was super friendly and helpful and cooked us a pasta dinner every night). I took many pictures for the whole weekend, So I'm going to break up the trip into a few blog posts :). This is the view we had from our room. The organs in the Cathedrals are very impressive. I do like those ceilings. It was good (and super cheep) but I...

A journey through becoming and being foster parents. November 5, 2011. Time flies but not all fun. Another foster parent aggravation; JoLo did not start therapy for over four months after she was removed. In this parents opinion, she will need therapy for years. August 28, 2010. July 30, 2010. Gone but not Forgotten. Their Aunt brought them back for a visit, the next week, and so we could give him his presents. DH gave him a race track and I gave him a Teddy bear I made at Build-a-Bear. We have not seen ...

Monday, April 20, 2015. Monday Memorable Musical Moment! On Facebook recently, there has been a challenge circulating called the "Artistic Memorable Moments Challenge". The challenge was/is to post a picture a day of your art for five days and nominate two friends to join the challenge. Many musician friends have been writing about their fondest and most impressionable musical memories from their childhood. I though I'd share one of my special memories with you here. I was lucky enough to score the lead ...

My thoughts about life in general…. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. A blog nobody reads is a diary…. March 4, 2018. Well said, by my oldest daughter Emily. So splashing out a bit. Started this blog in 2012 while at Rackspace as a stretch for myself. Stretch I did, once every 2 years or so – SO me. But to what’s important…. 10 Minute Musings – #1. November 12, 2015. Disclaimer: this is my personal blog, and what I say in no way reflects the thoughts or opinions of the U.S. government or the Peace Corps* *. Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Moldovan weddings are long. I arrived at the bride's house at 10am Sunday morning and left the wedding at 6am Monday morning. According to my host mom, modern Moldovan weddings are much shorter than they used to be. Her wedding lasted two full days. If you have a fear of public speaking, Moldovan weddings are not for you. 1 I was recently v...
