Notes From Nigeria: September 2012
http://notesfromnigeria-erika.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Tidbits Related to the FAITH ALIVE Hospital in Jos, Nigeria. Monday, September 17, 2012. I used to recite this quote as an excuse to not talk about how God is alive and working in my life and the world. But since I’ve been involved with the Faith Alive Hospital. In Jos, Nigeria, I can’t NOT talk about God. I’ve seen firsthand, on a regular basis, how He is faithful and active—at Faith Alive and in my own life. Next Sunday, I have the honor of preaching at Hill United Presbyterian Church.

Tidbits Related to the FAITH ALIVE Hospital in Jos, Nigeria. Monday, May 28, 2012. Hildren's Day is celebrated on May 27 in Nigeria. It is a public holiday for Primary and Secondary school children. Given that “children’s” is misspelled, maybe “ground” is a typo for something else. Regardless, it’s a great time to celebrate all of God’s children. Enjoy these snaps below (taken by Rich and Cathy McDermott a few years ago) of some Nigerian children, and then click here. Sunday, May 20, 2012. She wishes hea...

Notes from Niger
Wednesday, January 19, 2011. So…where to start? I moved to my village, settled in and was just able to cross day seven of being “in village” off on my calendar. I won’t say it was easy- communication was a huge challenge. I was nervous about my pint-sized mud hut, but after some inspired rearrangements and reorganizations I made it my cozy little cubby in the Sahel. I had a bowlegged dog to bark at the wind and pre-wash the dishes, and a healthy acacia tree that attracted plenty of birds to flirt. In sho...
