It’s All Right Here. What Did You Give Up, To Get What You Got? Posted on March 28, 2012. How are your decision making skills? Excellent, fair, nonexistent? If I ask you, hypothetically, to pick only one of the following, which will you choose? No, I’m not asking you to select between the dashing star of Mad Men and his beautiful partner Jennifer Westfeldt or the funny and likable Friends cast before they all became wanna-be movie stars. Love, Money, Children, Friendship, Personal Fulfillment. Maybe, if ...

Clear Possibilities's Blog. Thoughts on Leadership and Development…. Do the gardening…. December 14, 2011. It’s that time of year (at least in the UK), when we look out at our gardens and make resolutions for tidying up and putting it to bed for the winter; looking forward to the spring shoots. It’s the time of year when we do the pruning and notice the bare structures that are left when the leaves have fallen and the flowers have long since faded. What does the structure look like? A garden that stands ...

Just another WordPress.com site. Grace – a lesson to teach others. By Legally Insane Mommy. DM at Heart to Heart. Has inspired me to try to write down important life lessons as I learn them. He does a great job of creating “word pictures” to illustrate those illusive concepts we try to not only learn but to teach to our children. So in his honor I will try my best to tell this story which is a real-life event as told to me by my sister. I was inspired and awestruck by his words, even hearing them second-...

Life is my sandbox. Make Way, Proud Mama Coming Through. That, My Friend, Is a Dark Side. March 13, 2013. When Harry Met Sally. Harry can’t help his true nature. When I buy a new book, I read the last page first. That way, in case I die before I finish, I know how it ends, Harry Burns says classically in my favorite movie, When Harry Met Sally. Darlings, confession time, I have been known to peek. I know! I’m not looking for details such as is he destitute? Did he end up with Trudy? Harry’s fear is that ...

Chinese New Year Celebrations | Created Today
https://createdtoday.com.au/2011/02/03/chinese-new-year-celebrations
Sharing the things I love to make. What’s for Dinner? Chinese New Year Celebrations. Tonight we celebrated Chinese New Year with a little Chinese Banquet. We started with Pot Sticker Dumplings. These were delicious little pork dumplings initially cooked in a fry pan to create a crispy bottom. Boiling water is then poured into the pan, and the pan is partially covered with a lid to create a little steam room to complete the cooking process. These little morsels were a huge hit with the kids. 1/2 cup chick...

Survivor, Breast Cancer, Depression, Life, People, Opinions. 8220;No one saves u…. Two years ago today I was in surgery. And the first stage of reconstruction. I wore red toenail polish and hummed “The Best I’ll Ever Be” by Sister Hazel. As the nurse wheeled me to the surgery suite…I was thinking of mom, really wishing she had been here to talk to…I missed her hugs, her confidence everything would be okay (even if it might not be :) , her love. And who would be here to take this journey with me? I tried ...

Work is either fun or drudgery. It depends on your attitude. I like fun. Oh God, its ‘The Five I’s’ again. No, the point of my post is actually this…. it just happened again! Today, I am at yet another large investment bank and was just told we’re going to use yet. Set of words all beginning with the same letter, to describe our aspirational culture. Sure there are bigger problems in the world – war, hunger, poverty, global warming – but seriously folks, this must stop! Rather than this…. I agree, buildi...

My journey to control the swirling in my head. Introducing Yours Truly…. Word power →. June 3, 2011. It’s a short story, really. Spring was a really rough semester. I was so bogged down in trying to survive my classes that I lost my creative mojo. I was looking for it for weeks to no avail. The semester ended, but the mojo still evaded me, and then the strangest thing happened. I found it in the most unlikely place…. It was buried in a mound of clay. I just keep finding more and more! Word power →. Oh, I...
