notesfromtheisleofman | Impressions of life on the Isle of Man and Beyond
Impressions of life on the Isle of Man and Beyond. February 6, 2012. This blog’s turning into a rant. Have you been caught speeding recently? I’m not saying I didn’t learn anything. In fact, having learnt to drive and passed my test in France, my knowledge of some areas of the English highway code was hazy. But four hours? OK, now I am Speed Aware. I’ve done the course so I don’t care. I’ve done my bit, paid my dues. And paid my eighty-five pounds too. So hold your horses, here I come. January 23, 2012.

Notes from the Italian camera
Notes from the Italian camera. Notes from the camera. Sunday, November 22, 2015. A solitary person is a curiosity. Ask him where he has been, what he is doing. Or something we should bother less about. Let him be. Let him stand or sit or walk the paces. A solitary man is noticed, among the crowd of well wishers. Feeding off their anxiety, their costs, their way. Leave him be. He waits for nothing. He is sheltered by his thoughts. He is cleansed by his emptiness. Leave the solitary man to himself. Some ha...

Notes from the Journey
Notes from the Journey. Occasional Meanderings of a man Pursuing the Pursuer. Thursday, June 11, 2009. I never anticipated the last year would look like it has. After catching my breath again, I headed home. All of my belongings in a small storage unit. I assumed I would wait a month or two before quickly stepping into a new place of ministry. But a month or two became three, and four, and six, and now a year. Why did I have to be so quickly removed from a position that still showed such promise? I'm sti...

notes from the junkyard
Notes from the junkyard. Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Bumper Western Comic #65: Another K.G. Murray variant. If you look closely at the top right hand corner of my copy of Bumper Western Comic #65 you'll find the numeral 4 printed. I've checked with other collectors, and sample cover scans available online, and it doesn't appear on those copies. So this is another K.G. Murray printing error variant - not as obvious as the printing errors on copies of Bumper Western Comic #1. Or Superman Supacomic #87.
