Notes from the Italian camera

Notes from the Italian camera. Notes from the camera. Sunday, November 22, 2015. A solitary person is a curiosity. Ask him where he has been, what he is doing. Notes from the Italian camera. Notes from the camera. Thursday, November 12, 2015. There's no doubt in my mind that the architects of religion knew what they were doing. I don't mean in the philosophical sense, although I will leave that discussion for another time and place. I mean in the actual architecture, the buildings, the places of worship. The churches. For all those who have been waiting for something to 'oooh' and 'aarrrh' about, here they are. My attempts at Monkey Photos. The essentials in a Monkey Photo are:. Colour, red and yellows preferably. As few people as possible. Somewhere as far away as possible. A sunrise or sunset. Water, blurry if possible. An animal, preferably something cute. The Moon or stars. Something that matches the curtains.

Notes from the Italian camera. Notes from the camera. Friday, November 20, 2015. One does need a companion while travelling. You need to find your own. I have mine. Some travel for its own sake, others make it a mission or a challenge. Mine is to share with Christine. Italy is just Italy, but for me it's Italy with Christine. I am the fortunate one. notesfromtheisleofman | Impressions of life on the Isle of Man and Beyond

Impressions of life on the Isle of Man and Beyond. February 6, 2012. This blog’s turning into a rant. Have you been caught speeding recently? I’m not saying I didn’t learn anything. In fact, having learnt to drive and passed my test in France, my knowledge of some areas of the English highway code was hazy. But four hours? OK, now I am Speed Aware. I’ve done the course so I don’t care. I’ve done my bit, paid my dues. And paid my eighty-five pounds too. So hold your horses, here I come. January 23, 2012.

Musings on making by a contemporary jeweller. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. The slow pace of jewellery making. September 27, 2013. Giant snails have appeared all over Sydney as part of the art and about. Festival. I saw this one yesterday at Hyde Park Barracks. It reminded me of how painfully slow jewellery making can be, especially if you make by hand. The trick I think, is to remember that you will get there. Eventually – which is better than not getting there at all.

Notes from the Journey

Notes from the Journey. Occasional Meanderings of a man Pursuing the Pursuer. Thursday, June 11, 2009. I never anticipated the last year would look like it has. After catching my breath again, I headed home. All of my belongings in a small storage unit. I assumed I would wait a month or two before quickly stepping into a new place of ministry.
