Six hours and a thousand casts to get one fish but she was the largest fish caught in the three years of this event and finally the skunk was off the boat. Then me and Odog hit it on Monday, out of school for MLK Day, I got this over slot Red Drum and O got a nice little Striped Bass in the first hour or so of fishing. Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Yep, Feb 28 cape fear river speckled trout, love global warming. After another 3 nice striped bass, 2 more lost ones, and a lost drum, i think. we called it a day.
