Notes From The Sleep Deprived. I'm a 31 year old single mother of three: Noah, 6 years old, Maritessa, 4 years old, and Tripp, who turned 1 in February. Taking care of my family and myself is not an easy job. In fact, some days it's pretty hard! I try to always write with honesty and without censoring myself. Ashamed, Frightened – No Way Out! | Parent Confidential

https://parentconfidential.wordpress.com/2010/08/31/ashamed-frightened-no-way-out

Where parents tell all. This is my story. Ashamed, Frightened – No Way Out! August 31, 2010. I have been a stepmother now for nearly 7 years and I have to say it has never been an easy path. First I was accused of being the other woman I wasn’t! Then I was accused of trying to do too much for my stepson because I wanted to attend parents’ evening at school. Responses to “Ashamed, Frightened – No Way Out! Feed for this Entry. August 31, 2010 at 8:21 am. September 9, 2010 at 9:16 pm. I hope things pick up ...

Answers to some of those nagging frustrations! Cannot connect to Shaw FTP or E-Mail. As of a couple of years ago, Shaw Cable blocked FTP access to it’s webspace accounts from non-Shaw customers and IP Addresses. Hopefully a friend uses Shaw Cable, and you can download all of your content and upload it to a provider such as GoDaddy.com ( their ftp instructions. As for e-mail, if you still have mail coming to your previous Shaw e-mail accounts, log into the webmail service at http:/ webmail.shaw.ca. Cannot...

Answers to some of those nagging frustrations! Migrating Outlook Express To a New Computer. I was on-site yesterday visiting a client and discovered I needed to transfer their email and Address Book from their failing hard drive to the new hard drive I had setup for them. She uses Outlook Express, and it is not a simple process to migrate email data between hard drives or computers, especially when the data hasn’t been exported before the hard drive started to fail. Teamviewer Walkthrough | Tech Help

https://techqa.wordpress.com/2009/05/09/teamviewer-walkthrough

Answers to some of those nagging frustrations! TeamViewer allows you to see another person’s desktop and control their computer through a secure, encrypted connection that is easy to setup and use. There is no risk associated with using it, as only those who you give the randomly generated user ID and password can connect. You must also ok the connection. It’s very safe, and I have used it to connect to my parents’ computers back home and to a friend’s computer, who lives in Nova Scotia. You will then se...

Nifty Program: Input Director | Tech Help

https://techqa.wordpress.com/2010/07/04/nifty-program-input-director

Answers to some of those nagging frustrations! Nifty Program: Input Director. I have had more than one computer for several years now, and between two and three monitors to share between them. However, I hate having two keyboards and two mice. Back when I was only using Windows XP, I used a free program popular in the tech community called Synergy. Not the easiest to set up, but it worked very well. Then Vista came out. First, install Input Director on both computers. You can find the name of the compute...

DropBox – and why I love this service! | Tech Help

https://techqa.wordpress.com/2009/08/11/dropbox-and-why-i-love-this-service

Answers to some of those nagging frustrations! DropBox – and why I love this service! Due to the fact I have two computers, a laptop, and an iPhone, there are some documents, pictures, and other things that I want to be able to access at any time on any of them, and not have to worry about manually transferring the updated versions of each file. Even if the other computers aren’t turned on, they’ll download the latest versions of the files when they are turned on. I am so impressed by this service! Next ...

An older woman passes me on the way to the lobby, eyes my current situation and says:. 8220;You’re in the thick of it aren’t you? As I stand up to pick up my son from his high chair, an older lady sitting next to me with her brother (as I later found out) looked at me and says “you’re right in the thick of it”. Notes from the Slow Lane. Sunday, 31 January 2016. January in the garden. Not the world's greatest photograph). My other big garden excitement is a compost bin. Never did I think I would get so excited by compost! Shortly after Christmas my dad arrived at the door with a mystery piece of plastic - which turned out to be the hatch cover for the compost bin and an early birthday present. He completed the present with a bagful of his compost, complete with worms, to get me started. Monday, 18 January 2016.

Notes From The Snug – Prose, Ponderings and Simple Pleasures

Notes From The Snug. Prose, Ponderings and Simple Pleasures. This is pretty much an online notebook, full of all the scraps and scribblings that I collect over the years – the bits and pieces of writing that I don’t really know what to do with but, having created, feel compelled to keep (I’m a terrible hoarder, I’m afraid). I’ve sorted everything into rough categories (listed down the right-hand side) so there is at least a. Bit of organisation among the chaos! My favourite categories are:. You are comme...
