All Roads Lead to Home - Journaling from Planet Earth

Thursday, December 25, 2008. Alex and I made it to the sandy part of the Great Thar Desert, our final farthest stretching destination, in time to watch the sunset on Christmas Day with a couple of camels and play chase-each-other-in-circles with the sweet village boy who brought us out. And sing great hallelujah hallelujah in the open jeep beneath the full starry sky on the ride back to Jaiselmer. Oh, it's dinner time. Wishing you solstice smiles and Jesus light. The Eighth Day Ours: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

http://theeighthdayours.blogspot.com/2011/05/charlie-and-chocolate-factory.html

The Eighth Day Ours. Saturday, May 28, 2011. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. 26, skinny as a rail, smokes like a chimney, has been living on the island for almost a year now. He sells these beautiful postcards in sepia tones that feature photographs of people, which is nicer and more representitive of the country than, say, a gecko or a sunset. He also makes and sells chocolate. We are both pretty social people but have fallen into seclusion; on a given day we basically only interact with one another.

The Franco-files: September 2008

http://franco-files.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html

Sunday, September 28, 2008. So, I've been a bad, lazy blogger recently. Sorry! I'll try and do better. Once again, it's been a week, and I've done a lot. Here's a quick run-down:. Weekend trip to Giverny (Monet's house and garden) and Rouen (where Joan of Arc was burned, also home to an amazing gothic cathedral). In short, absouletly incredible and gorgeous. I took 160 photos, mostly of flowers (heh). I'll upload some of the good ones tomorrow. Saw a play, Du Cristal a la Fumee. Links to this post. But I...

Then the actors of the play within a play begin a third play! Chestnut and Fennel Soup. Recipe by Thierry Chaney). Dissol...

Sunday, November 30, 2008. Veni, Vidi.Vino? So my Thanksgiving pecan pie turned out really well. And a close up:. Despite all of my reservations, people really liked it! I got a lot of compliments on it, I was even told it was the best dessert of the night! My cranberries on the other hand.didn't turn out so well. Don't get me wrong, they were delicious, I just didn't make them far enough in advance, and so they didn't have time to gel. Oh well, they made a nice salad dressing. The first is a rose from B...

Adventures in the land of the bike-riding, tax-paying, herring-eating blonde people. Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Hold Up, Wait a Minute. I am a firm believer in the gospel of Willy Wonka. And I quote the Good Book when I say, "so much time, so little to do! Wait, strike that. Reverse it.". My plane leaves Copenhagen airport at 12:20 on the 17th. I have only just now realized how much I need to get done before I leave, so I will be hitting a museum/monument/place of note a day until that time comes. The Pr...

Notes from the Wilderness | Biblical notes and prophetic revelations seen while in the wilderness

Notes from the Wilderness. Biblical notes and prophetic revelations seen while in the wilderness. Receiving Our Full Reward. Monday, 5 May, 2014. 8220;…Scriptures tell us clearly that the Torah — the commandments, statutes, and judgments, the ‘old’ Testament writings — have become the Terms and Conditions or ‘fine print’ of the ‘new’ Covenant, whose Biblical name is the ‘Everlasting’ Covenant.”. Reward, we must beware, and take heed to the many warnings in Scripture? Look to yourselves, that we lose not.
