She sells me mango juice. There was another lady, like her, years ago now, that sold me the same. The years when our oldest two played in the mall's indoor playground and I, pregnant with our third, rested with my juice. Now I met another. A lady from a far-away Indonesian island where Christ is not known. She has travelled here in search for work and makes the best mango juice around. And so I frequent her stall at the mall. She has come here on a search . And she is one of the reasons I too have come.

It is almost embarrassing to tell this story . We live in a pretty remote place. It's a city, not the jungle, but to get here from my hometown in Canada, 3 flights are needed . and we are 16 hours ahead of home-time. We drink powdered milk. I make yogurt. Most Indonesians drink instant coffee. There is no Starbucks here. Pretty remote. Yes, a coffee shop. Delicious, hot lattes. Across the street from our base. And how often do I miss what is right in front of me? You are right here. So glad for you!

The kids have been in school for about 9 months, and today is the last day before summer break! Are they ever ready to play, play, play! They have been gone at school for about 8 hours, 5 days a week, for the past 3/4 of a year! I have loved it. Loved. Like, I don't really want the school year to be over. What have a done with all of this time? I have never had this sort of time. 9 months. What has God done in my heart during this time? What can I "birth" from this experience? So, welcome summer break!

На вкус баклажаны получаются как грибы. 1 Хорошо вызревшие, но не перезревшие, баклажаны среднего размера вымыть, надрезать на 2/3 по длине, плотно уложить в кастрюлю или банку, перекладывая баклажаны зеленью (укропом, эстрагоном) и посыпая каждый ряд солью. Соли взять 2-3% от веса баклажанов, зелени не более 5%. Готовность баклажан наступит через 1-1,5 месяца.
