Much Ado About Nothing
February « 2013 « {Nothing Noteworthy}
http://nothingnoteworthy.com/2013/02
Much Ado About Nothing. Yesterday was my birthday. We’ve had so much going on lately that we really didn’t plan anything special, but we did fly up to York, PA for brunch at the airport restaurant. It’s been about 9 months since we took Carrie up last time (Father’s Day, I think? Carrie looks out the window as we fly north-east. Of course, Piglet had to come with us. Sweet Onion and Pepper Relish from {ReluctantEntertainer.com}. Sweet Onion and Pepper Relish. 12 tomatoes, chopped. 3 cups white vinegar.

Much Ado About Nothing. Cleaning Out Last Year’s Bounty. As we’re preparing to move I’ve been going through cabinets and closets decluttering and re-homing items that we don’t need anymore. Yesterday I started looking through the chest freezer for dinner, and came across 8 cups of chopped rhubarb from last season. I used 4 cups of it to make Rhubarb Cobbler. 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 2 1/2 cups flour. 2 cups diced rhubarb. 1/2 cup chopped nuts. 1 tablespoon soft butter.

Much Ado About Nothing. Laquo; Sourdough Pizza Crust. Rainy Saturday Morning Means Pancakes. On July 12, 2014. Since I don’t have a garden this year (it was too late in the year to plant anything at the new house), there aren’t going to be any normal-scale canning sessions at my house. So I started investigating small batch canning and found Food In Jars. I’ve already done Marisa’s Pickled Garlic. Via a guest post at Serious Eats) and Dilly Beans. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Much Ado About Nothing. Laquo; Cleaning Out Last Year’s Bounty. It’s Been Quiet. On July 8, 2014. I haven’t posted much of anything in a long time. For a while I just couldn’t spare the time with a small kiddo. Then we decided to build a house. Then we had to get the old one ready to sell. Then we had to move. Then …. You get the idea. This is my stake in the sand. I’m catching up, starting today. Posted in baby makes three. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Your email address will not be published. Your 5-Day...

Much Ado About Nothing. Since everyone else on the internet has had their say on John Kerry’s recent comments, I might as well have mine too. His exact comment was:. You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq. Personally, I think these guys say it best:. Frederick Municipal Airport, MD. Last Updated on Aug 30 2016, 10:00 pm EDT. Your 5-Day Forecast at a Glance.

Here Today. Gone to Mali. Wednesday, March 24, 2010. The rare coat hanger tree. Monday, March 22, 2010. Quote of the Week. Until I went to the dorm, I didn't know that pancakes and waffles were breakfast food.". Benjamin Bowers, MK from Mali who grew up eating them for supper. Quote of the week. Monday, March 15, 2010. We had a faith healer in town last week. A very interesting phenomenon which has raised a lot of questions for me, both culturally and theologically. A few years ago the police in Senegal ...
Here Today... Gone to Mali: WHAT IS YOUR AMERICAN NICKNAME?
http://jenniferabowers.blogspot.com/2014/02/what-is-your-american-nickname.html
Here Today. Gone to Mali. Monday, February 17, 2014. WHAT IS YOUR AMERICAN NICKNAME? When we first came to Mali nearly three decades ago, everyone wanted us to take Malian names. We ended up with Yacouba for Jim, which is the local equivalent of his real name (Jim = James = Jacob = Yacouba), and Djeneba for me (kinda sounds like Jennifer, right? So shortly into each semester, I challenge my English students at Go Global Mali to take English names. Turnabout is fair play, right? Favorite TV characters....

Here Today. Gone to Mali. Friday, June 24, 2011. HOW LOCAL IS LOCAL? I just finished Barbara Kingsolver’s fascinating book on her family’s year of eating locally, Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. I was happy to be challenged about the food choices I make, based on how much fuel and energy are expended to get my food to market. There is also the issue of supporting local farmers, instead of those in another region or another country. There to be processed in France. Here Double jeopardy on hydrocarbons! They a...

Here Today. Gone to Mali. Wednesday, April 6, 2011. An Open Letter to Dove World Outreach Center. Dear Pastors Jones and Sapp,. Congratulations on the headlines you have created around the world this week. Not only did you burn a Koran but your actions led to the death of UN workers in Afghanistan, many of whom were not even Americans. May I ask what this has accomplished: has the Gospel been advanced amongst Muslims because there is one less Koran in the world? What right do you have before the Living G...

Here Today. Gone to Mali. Monday, November 7, 2011. I haven't posted to my blog since June and I just found out that this is NaBloPoMa: National Blog Posting Month, when we are supposed to post daily. Now doesn't that sound a little like NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month (which has been around since, like, forever)? But I just had to get my 2 cents in here. I call on would-be novelists and lukewarm bloggers to unite! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Jennifer A. Bowers. Kayes, MALI, Mali.

Here Today. Gone to Mali. Sunday, September 5, 2010. YET ANOTHER TRAVEL TALE. Our journey started Friday the 3rd, when we were deposited at the airport at 3pm by Tim Haley of Christ Fellowship Church in Fallston, MD: thanks for the ride, Tim! One thing I want to mention is that the passengers were all very gracious while waiting. We were all frustrated, but no one got nasty or mean or gave the crew a hard time. Thanks for your prayers and good thoughts as we travel! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Nothing Not to Love. 31 Days of Happiness. January 2, 2015. January 13, 2015. The result was a wonderful night of Heads Up and Cards Against Humanity. My passengers had a great time and it was nice to see them relax and have a good time since they knew I would get them home safely. We even took home 2 other friends who got a little carried away at the party and forgot to designate a driver. I hope everyone else was able to enjoy their New Year’s Eve! Where’s my hovercraft?
