SETH'S BLOG: February 2014
http://www.sethsutherland.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Welcome to the online journal of Seth Sutherland. Sunday, February 2, 2014. This short Biblical novel was written as an assignment for my Christian Spirituality class. I attempted to put myself in Barabbas' place during that pivotal moment when the Jews cemented their desire to have Jesus crucified. I obtained my inspiration from Matthew 27:15-26. Anger had burned deep down in my soul. I was being dragged up the stone steps towards Pilate’s judgment hall. I couldn’t see straight, I stumbled, I fell.

Welcome to the online journal of Seth Sutherland. Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Hey readers, it’s been awhile since I’ve posted a blog update so thought it was time to let you know what is happening in my life! Right now, I am writing this post from a small office here at Camp YavaPines in Prescott, Arizona. I’m excited to be working as the media director here this summer. This past week I was with the youth and young adults, filming them as they engaged in community service projects. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Welcome to the online journal of Seth Sutherland. Monday, June 17, 2013. I reach my destination, a secluded cabin at the edge of Camp Cherokee, and pull out my laptop. I return to writing. It's about the kids. And the staff. And me. It's about ministry. If only one child, one camper, one staff member, will be able to draw closer to their divine Creator, it will all have been worth it. Prayers which keep pushing us on. We need them. We desperately need them! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hi, Im Seth! To see...

SETH'S BLOG: March 2014
http://www.sethsutherland.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Welcome to the online journal of Seth Sutherland. Monday, March 10, 2014. A quiet path led towards the top of a small hill behind the mission in Bwa Pen, Haiti. Thick jungle encroached on either side of it as it wended its way towards a cloud of drifting smoke which was hovering on the horizon. Pink, orange, and grey hues spread across the sky in brilliant swaths as the sun attempted to peak over the distant hills. Somewhere in the distance half a dozen roosters vied for superiority of sound. It ran thro...

SETH'S BLOG: Being a Nostalgic
http://www.sethsutherland.com/2015/08/being-nostalgic.html
Welcome to the online journal of Seth Sutherland. Saturday, August 8, 2015. I’m feeling nostalgic right now. As my summer here at Indian Creek Camp comes to a close, I reflect back over the many experiences I’ve gone through during the past few months. It’s definitely been a fairly different summer from what I was anticipating, but that’s not a bad thing. This Spring I had several options I considered for a summer job and yet I chose to do summer camp one last (I’m pretty sure, anyway) time. We would hav...

Welcome to the online journal of Seth Sutherland. Thursday, February 26, 2015. The old man made his way slowly to the door of his tent. He squinted in the moonlight and gently pulled back the flap covering the entrance to his animal skin dwelling. Quietly he picked his way to the top of a knoll over looking the campsite. 8220;Do you see the stars? 8221; God’s voice gently spoke. 8220;Can you number them? The old man slowly gazed towards the heavens, steadying himself with his staff. And yet the Lord was ...
