fig & chocolate spelt hot cross buns | Nourish Food Life
http://nourishfoodlife.com.au/2015/04/03/fig-chocolate-spelt-hot-cross-buns
Food and Wellness Coaching. Fig and chocolate spelt hot cross buns. Easter is a time of year with varying significance for different people. As we’re not a religious family, since my kids were little I’ve tried to make it a time for creativity and celebration, not just chocolate. And these buns have turned out to be truly scrumptious whilst being a healthier alternative to commercially produced buns with their refined flour and sugar, emulsifiers and preservatives. Best of all they’re made with love.

Food and Wellness Coaching. Chai spiced rice pudding. My guess is that, many of you are constantly on your own case, expecting yourselves to eat more greens, eat less chocolate, drink more water, drink less wine; the details change for each of us but the feeling is the same, and it’s a feeling I’ve known well. We beat ourselves up for falling short of perfect. But what if we thought about the stress we put on ourselves as something negative that we need to give up? Chai Spiced Rice Pudding. 8211; serves 6.
apricot & almond muesli | Nourish Food Life
http://nourishfoodlife.com.au/2015/01/23/apricot-almond-muesli
Food and Wellness Coaching. Apricot and almond muesli. It’s been stone fruit season in South Australia, and the weather has been of the best growing kind. We live on a five acre block in the Adelaide Hills that used to be, so the story goes, an experimental orchard. We have a random assortment of old fruit trees peppering the slopes above the river that creates our lower boundary. 8216;Are they apricots? 8217; she asked. Drying them yourself will result in a browner apricot than you might be used to....

crunchy cacao & almond muesli | Nourish Food Life
http://nourishfoodlife.com.au/2014/10/04/crunchy-cacao-almond-muesli
Food and Wellness Coaching. Crunchy cacao and almond muesli. It’s been school holidays in South Australia, so mornings have been a bit slower, leaving me time to play around with different breakfasts. This one I thought worthy of a share. My favourite way to eat this muesli is with natural greek yogurt and fresh fruit. It is barely sweet, so you can sweeten it up with a drizzle of maple syrup or honey if you prefer. Oh, and with all this time on my hands I’ve taken the plunge and joined Facebook! Bake fo...

Olive oil, rosemary and citrus cake. July 29, 2015. Extra virgin olive oil. If any of you are following me on Instagram. You’d know that I’m experiencing a woody herb obsession. It’s something to do with winter, cold nights and frosty mornings, slow roasting and baking whilst sipping a glass of wine. Differing from soft-stemmed herbs such as parsley, coriander and basil (from which the entire plant is edible), woody herbs include the much-loved rosemary, sage, lavender, oregano and thyme. 1 1/4 cups (315...

Rub a Dub Dub. Food for you and the people you love. A Happy Happy Boxing Day and a Simple Peach Salsa. Dario recently expressed his discontent with having to trawl through long winded food blogger ramblings before finally arriving at the recipe. I must admit, he has a point. I too am susceptible to a good natter prior to divulging a recipe and so I intend to change that one day. Maybe next post. Today I will indulge, as I feel it only fair to introduce our new baby! I can’t believe I’ve had ...Yup) so s...

Spelt, Banana and Walnut Bread (dairy-free, vegan option). October 6, 2013. Yes, I know, I already have a banana bread recipe, BUT I usually have a fair few variations of the same recipe as they happen somewhat accidentally when I run out of certain ingredients.
