http://vicssanguinethoughts.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
An outlet for my peaceful ponderings with, perhaps, the occasional rant. Friday, March 23, 2007. I finally took the time to see the long (nearly three hours) but fascinating movie, "Zodiac." Ever since I first started seeing the previews for this movie, I knew I wanted to see it. Why? Because in 1969, at the height of the Zodiac killings, I lived in Vallejo, California. An outlet for my peaceful ponderings with, perhaps, the occasional rant. Friday, August 25, 2006. Back to School Friday Five. My late mother-in-law thought of September as the real" New Year because of the number of programs and classes starting. The Greatest Story Ever Told. Newer posts →. June 3, 2009. Two of the most important things I do in my current job (also two of my favorite things) are:. 1 Teach youth and adults about the UMC and Living the Methodist Way. 2 Help students discern a call to ministry. I have found no good video resources for either of these tasks. 1 There aren’t a great deal of resources for discussing the UMC or its history. Any good resource is out of date and almost unusable. Surprised by the Resurrection: Easter Prayer.

The Greatest Story Ever Told. I would have ruined everything. →. AC Worship: Comments on the Wedding @ Cana. June 9, 2009. Tonight I will have a small part in helping the SGA UMC Annual Conference celebrate in worship by doing a dramatic reading of the story of the Wedding @ Cana. As I have prepared, I have been forced to make some interpretive decisions on the passage:. John 2:1-11 is the story of the Wedding at Cana, the turning of the water into wine. The statement that in this place there were “...

Cense and (Non)Sensibility: Sketches from a Wanderer in the Ancient Church. One Sunday after Divine Liturgy, we were in the Parish Hall speaking of another’s recent conversion, and the inevitable interest in how it came to pass led to, Who knows? Why does anyone become Orthodox by choice? An excellent question indeed, and about as good a place to approach the subject to the extent that it merits more than a shrug. But sure, in the meantime, I’ll take a funny hat. On July 22, 2008. Thanks for stopping by!
