Saturday, July 4, 2009. 13: Spend a day in the mountains! Last weekend, the Cole family, minus Bryan made our way up to Copper Mountain for a great weekend of relaxing, hiking, sleeping, and fishing. We were up there for 3 days. Here are a couple fotitos from the weekend:. Once we got up hiking, there was a lot of snow. There was a whole ski run covered in a about 6 feet of snow. Monday, May 7, 2012. April 21, 2012 . . . a beautiful Saturday to go on a hike! We met another family for a hike at a place called "The Tents." The official name is Kasha-Katuwe Rocks National Park. The park was about an hour away. We hiked down a normal trail that led to a slot canyon. I have never hiked a slot canyon before, but it was so cool! In the picture below, the bluff on the left was our destination! I had some doubts initially, but once we were all the way at the top it was so worth the effort.
