He was fortunate to fish some of the great salmon and steelhead rivers in the world, including the Russian, the Smith, and the Eel. We have just finished rescuing fish for this season. We rescued about 20,000 to 23,000 wild fish from steams that are drying up. We are waiting to see how the Department of Transportation project to widen Highway 502 from two to four lanes will affect Mill Creek. We have had discussions with them about our concerns but they are continuing to build. WDFW has opined that the project will likely “aversely affect the fish”. This entry was posted in General.
