The order book is currently closed for new guitar builds, but when it does re-open for people on the waiting list, Projects in the Zombie Collection will be the first to be offered:. The Zombie Collection is made up of all those incomplete guitars, bodies and necks that have slowly littered the workshop over the last ten years. Because there are so many (100 ), any future orders need to start life as one of these Zombies until they're all gone. Don't worry! Phone(mobile): 021 137 2376.

Come on, admit it. You musicians out there are a bunch of savages with your gear! You break it, someone needs to fix it. Simple, isn't it. For the last ten years I've been that guy, but from now on I just create new, custom-built guitars. For any repairs, modifications or refinishing, you'll need to find a new guru. I suggest Mr Glyn for general guitar repair work, and you could try Binford Guitars as an archtop guitar specialist. Phone(mobile): 021 137 2376.

A jam with Raf | Owen Vickers
http://v4.owen.net.nz/a-jam-with-raf
Random randomness of random. A jam with Raf. I’ve just returned from a great week in Sydney. While I was there I spent a couple of days with my friend Raf. And we recorded a one-take virtual jam over a Robben Ford backing track “Help The Poor”. I got to play on Raf’s most excellent “Catherine” guitar, which was a dream to play and sounded fantastic 🙂. Here’s the video:. This entry was posted on Friday, October 29th, 2010 at 11:31 am and is filed under Guitar Stuff. Click here to cancel reply.

Testing out the new Telecaster | Owen Vickers
http://v4.owen.net.nz/testing-out-the-new-telecaster
Random randomness of random. Testing out the new Telecaster. So, I broke one of my two rules of guitar; never get a Telecaster! I picked up a new Fender Blacktop Telecaster recently, as I think it will come in handy in the recording studio (who knows, I might even play it live one day). The guitar felt and sounded really good, and it had humbuckers so was instantly more in my stylistic ballpark than most Teles. I’ll learn to deal with it…. No explanation will be given for the John 5 finger nails 😛.
