Observations of an Eternal Optimist
Observations of an Eternal Optimist. A blog about the power of positivity from a girl who believes in magic! Thursday, September 9, 2010. I found out today that I am invited to represent the USA on the Paralympic Track team at the World Championships in New Zealand. Now, if you had told me that I was going to make a statement like that 5 years ago I would have politely told you that you must have the wrong girl. Truly a moment in my life that I will never forget. It was within about a month of that day t...

Observations of an Eternal Optimist. A blog about the power of positivity from a girl who believes in magic…. January 1, 2012. Why is it that we allow ourselves to slip down back off the wave of what is possible as soon as the high of what is New has rubbed off? My wish for all of you is to have a magical holiday that will keep the fire of possibility burning inside you throughout the year. Everyday can be New Year’s Day, what is it that you want? Why not go after it? Guest Blog : Jay Cramer. I could hav...

OBSERVATIONS OF AN EVERYDAY MOM
OBSERVATIONS OF AN EVERYDAY MOM. Tuesday, September 3, 2013. We had our first-ever BURGERS and BULLETS on Labor Day! We had three other families and two of JJ's friends so I think our grand total was 24. I think everyone had fun. I sure did! Some of the littler kids picked up the used bullets and saved them in a box. I think they had fun comparing guns and talking about gun stuff. Testing out the pistols. Shooting her new pink .22. Even the little kids shot the cricket .22 gun. This is one of my favorite...

Observations of a News Junkie | my humble commentary on local, national and global events
Observations of a News Junkie. September 15, 2014 at 4:24 pm ( Ministry. To do before I die. I did it. I really went to Africa. I’ve always thought it was a fairly lofty goal, even considering the intense travel bug I’ve had for most of my life. But late last month, my husband and I boarded a plane bound for the dark continent. It was a long flight; the world is a big place. And Africa is so completely different from the countries I’ve called home. Gulu, to be specific. Bathing in a bucket of cold water.

Observations of Angels | I'm Just Their Scribe
I'm Just Their Scribe. The World Must Know.It Will Not Change Me. Bull;July 29, 2015 • Leave a Comment. I recently had my annual review at work. The raise I was given was not what I had hoped for and I felt a lot of despair and hopelessness around my life’s circumstances. I asked the angels, what could possibly be the lesson in struggling every week to just have enough gas to do my job and barely enough food to eat. This is what I heard. Bull;January 4, 2015 • 1 Comment. I certainly don’t! The place I go...

Observations of an Oddball | My blog of observations, opinions, thoughts and raw facts.
Observations of an Oddball. My blog of observations, opinions, thoughts and raw facts. Stuff That Proves Detrimental To My Faith (and maybe yours too). January 1, 2017. Re-interpretations of the Bible. Shane Dawson’s “DEATHS AT (X,Y,Z)” videos. Focusing on death prevents life from happening. Let the dead bury the dead, people. Our focus is life. Any music on mainstream radio stations. It all feels gross. Listening to doubts, any doubts. Getting lost on BuzzFeed for hours. NO MORE! Believing I am my own.

Observations of an Okie Biker
Observations of an Okie Biker. Point of view of an Oklahoma biker/roughneck. Tuesday, July 12, 2016. And, this is in essence what's wrong with the world and society today. There is no respect and there is a lot of separation. All this us verses them shit, and different sets of rules and privileges depending on what you look like and what what you were born with. Cloudwalker, Cherokee Warrior, and Insane FS Mom. July 29, 2016. Goals for This Year. This year while D is on TDY to B-dad, I have decided to sleep in the middle of my pillow-top, queen mattress to balance out the human shaped dents on either side of the bed. It’s a goal I think I can accomplish, unlike the goal to fit into my pants when there is a waffle truck in my neighborhood 3 days a week. May 1, 2016. If you buy cheese, and then forget about it, it will eventually make its presence known. So making...

This may be the single biggest abomination of the Obama administration. And there are MANY! I will post on this blog EVERYONE THAT VOTES FOR THIS MONSTROSITY!

observations of an ordinary life
Observations of an ordinary life. Sunday, May 26, 2013. Thursday, November 1, 2012. The owl was perched in the oak tree next to our bedroom window. We do not get these visitors very often. So it seemed fitting that in the wee hours after Halloween night that we should have an owl pay us a visit. After about 10 more minutes of it's call, it decided to go to a different location. And no, it did not deliver a letter or parcel from Hogwarts. ;-). A wise old owl sat in an oak. The more he saw the less he spoke.
