177 gruelling miles in 3 days. is it possible? The Offa's Dyke Run. Wednesday, 29 July 2009. After months of training the challenge finally started just after 4am on Saturday. The day went as well as I could have hoped. I had good energy levels throughout and managed to cover 71 miles by 11.40pm. Luckily I only had bloody hands to show for the incident. A Cross Country Run. With your help we can help others. A Cross Country Run Of Epic Proportions. 177 miles of up and downs from the cliffs at Sedbury in the South to the beach at Prestatyn in the North. In between, the gruelling terrain of the Offa’s Dyke Path and a mammoth trail run pushing the bounds of physical endeavour as two middle aged men try to run across the country unaided in just 5 days. The path is named after and generally follows the dyke constructed during the 8th century by King Offa.
