Concerti Sacri di Duke Ellington. Il Lindy Hop è il ballo swing nato negli Stati Uniti alla fine degli anni ’20 evolutosi dal Charleston e da altre danze Jazz. Raggiunse il maggior successo negli anni ’30-’40, periodo nel quale divenne un vero e proprio fenomeno di massa. Oggi è tornato di moda ed è ballato un tutto il mondo. La OffCourse Big Band nel 2014 si è impegnata nell’allestimento di un repertorio di brani dedicato a questo ballo, portandolo in scena in diverse serate.

Duke Ellington Sacred Concert. The OffCourse Big Band was founded in 2011 by jazz improvisation course taught by Simone La Maida. Composer, arranger, jazz performer. The orchestra is made up of 18 musicians distributed between the rhythm and horn sections. The jazz orchestra has a wide repertoire, which includes both instrumental and vocal pieces and covers many different styles: from Swing to Funky, from Latin-American to contemporary jazz. With other ensembles and orchestras, both Italian and foreign.
