Lower Back Pain - Wokingham Osteopath - Visiting Osteopaths
http://visitingosteopaths.co.uk/what-we-treat/lower-back-pain
Lower back pain affects 8 out of 10 people at some point in their life, from trapped nerves and muscle strains to muscular spasms and disc problems. Osteopaths analyse how the spine moves as a unit and how each vertebral joint moves individually in order to create a treatment plan to remove the cause of any restrictions or pain. We use massage and articulatory techniques in order to release any guarding muscles, as well as manipulation if we deem it necessary, to free up the joints themselves. I have had...

Why become an osteopath? Wokingham Osteopath - Visiting Osteopaths
http://visitingosteopaths.co.uk/osteopathy/why-did-i-become-an-osteopath
Why did I become an osteopath? As an osteopath I get to take a lot of my patients’ case histories to discover the root cause of their problem. Conversation usually drifts at some point to how I got into osteopathy and I give an abridged version of this story. Enough people have asked recently so I thought I’d give the full story. No I do not perform kip-ups on request, I like my knees now! After my post general anaesthetic grogginess had worn off I asked what the results were and discovered nothing had b...

Headaches - Wokingham Osteopath - Visiting Osteopaths
http://visitingosteopaths.co.uk/what-we-treat/headaches
Dull headaches reaching over the top of your head, behind your eyes or migraines are all results of poor posture, trauma or stress. Meditation, posture correction and manual therapy are all great ways to relieve the symptoms and prevent them from recurring. Compression of the nerves running over the back of the head can be debilitating, but by using massage, stretches and sometimes manipulation osteopaths are able to release the muscles causing the problem and bring balance to the area. What we treat - Wokingham Osteopath - Visiting Osteopaths

Visiting Osteopaths - Wokingham. Out of 5 stars. Out of 5 stars. Posted 6 months ago. A friend recommended Matt to me after suffering from back and rib pain following a fall. On our first meeting he clearly explained the treatment required and the expected number of treatments I would need. Not only did he sort out my back but he also fixed stiffness in my neck which I only realised had been so bad once he started working on it. Matt was highly professional and friendly and made me feel relaxed.
