Under duress: December 2006
http://under-duress.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 31, 2006. Happy New Year * *. I am so proud of myself! Chained to the computer these past couple of days, and got the assignments done that I needed to. The 12 page one's pants, but I'm quite chuffed with the genre piece for Bill that. Knocked out today: The Case of the Suspicious Wardrobe Narnia. In a cheap paperback American detective style. Actually fun to write for once, not a painful, drawn out experience. Posted by Fi @ 10:59 AM. Saturday, December 30, 2006. But who cares, at least...

miss-cellany: Lollypops and raindrops.
http://miss-cellany.blogspot.com/2008/04/lollypops-and-raindrops.html
Miscellany 'a collection of various things'. Monday, April 28, 2008. I was late to the world of statcounters with this blog. Somehow thought it would be too complicated. However, now I know. Things that I should never have known otherwise. It seems that the majority of 'strangers' stumbling here have googled 'lollypop ladies' and (for some bizzare reason, probably only understood by SEO experts) this. Post comes up first. That's just brilliant :). Which post were they directed to? I had to attend a train...

Under duress: January 2007
http://under-duress.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 31, 2007. But no, I must blog instead. Write about my uninteresting day which involved a laundry blitz first thing, before heading to the office. Decided on Trereife in the end as couldn't face the driving, or the loss of time travelling. According to the Gardens in Cornwall website it's open all year round, but not until 11am, so I decided to blat out the review on Mike Sagar-Fenton's Serpentine. Book to plug the gap. Trickier than you'd think, and more time-consuming too. Forgot that...

miss-cellany: May 2008
http://miss-cellany.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Miscellany 'a collection of various things'. Tuesday, May 06, 2008. Defying (the laws of) Gravity. Miss-C sits on doorstep in early morning sunbeams with cup of hot coffee. Enter: First Bumble bee of the summer. Fuzzy and yellow, it stops to drink from lavender flowers. Links to this post. Saturday, May 03, 2008. As I stood in the shower, the postman knocked. This gave me a strange sense of deja vu - didn't the postman try to get in yesterday? At the time this 'happened' I was simply quite grateful that ...

miss-cellany: December 2007
http://miss-cellany.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Miscellany 'a collection of various things'. Monday, December 10, 2007. People I Should Say Hello To. As I walk back from dropping Oz on the bus I've started to notice the same characters out and about before 8.30. It's a kind of secret Falmouth underground of faces. A few now smile and say hello to me. The knock on effect of this is that I now smile and say hello to some of the others. So there is a bizarre karmic smile going around. A bit like a chain letter but not so creepy. Funnily enough, this didn...

miss-cellany: Does eBay have a spell checker?
http://miss-cellany.blogspot.com/2008/06/does-ebay-have-spell-checker.html
Miscellany 'a collection of various things'. Wednesday, June 11, 2008. Does eBay have a spell checker? In the same way that autism can be viewed as a spectrum, I've got to wondering if writers' propensity to judge/fume/giggle/bitch about errors in grammar* and spelling might have a spectrum all of its very own. No items can be returned as all descriptions are fully arcrate. Yes, this fills me with great confidence. Topshop, Miss Selfride, Oasis shirt, Indie, Vintage, Emo, Kate Moss. I'm sure that with a ...

miss-cellany: Reality Check?
http://miss-cellany.blogspot.com/2008/04/reality-check.html
Miscellany 'a collection of various things'. Friday, April 25, 2008. Freelancing feels slightly precarious, to say the least, and there are moments when I'm tempted to scurry back to the stability of a salary and stability etc. However, it does have some wonderful moments. Today I spent an afternoon as a 'Reality Checker'. Just wonder if there's any chance of making a career out of this? But then I realise that checking other people's reality might not necessarily be the same as keeping a check on my own.
