What may happen if you need to tow your MG-F and haven't read the manual exactly, mainly missed to look at the pictures in detail, is shown below. The German manual uses the term "Notschleppen" for towing, witch means that you should only tow your MG-F in emergency cases. It also shows pictures of the lowest of three existing eyelets at each side of the car.

Mail at ola-f.de. Destruction of release bearing. After approximately 74.000 kilometre the release bearing of the clutch at my MG-F was destroyed. I have tried to reach a garage by driving the F normally, so that the mounting in the clutch-house has been destroyed also - EXPENSIVE. Rust at the MG-F

Mail at ola-f.de. Generally, I do not have the well known problems with rust on my MG-F, even though it has been driven all seasons and had an open air parking space for two years. The pictures show how it looks after 3 years, 72.000 km (afaik 4478 mils), and frequent under body washing. Rust at the bracket of the front right Hydragas unit. Rust at right upper subframe part, obvious caused by street salt. Rust at front Subframe. The picture shows the left side, it's just the same at the right one.
