What may happen if you need to tow your MG-F and haven't read the manual exactly, mainly missed to look at the pictures in detail, is shown below. The German manual uses the term "Notschleppen" for towing, witch means that you should only tow your MG-F in emergency cases. It also shows pictures of the lowest of three existing eyelets at each side of the car.

Mail at ola-f.de. Destruction of release bearing. After approximately 74.000 kilometre the release bearing of the clutch at my MG-F was destroyed. I have tried to reach a garage by driving the F normally, so that the mounting in the clutch-house has been destroyed also - EXPENSIVE. Ausrücke Lager am MG-F defekt

Mail at ola-f.de. Nach ca. 74.000 km ist an meinem MG-F das Ausrückelager der Kupplung zerbröselt. Weil ich noch versucht habe damit zur Werkstatt zu kommen, ist auch gleich das Kupplungsgehäuse mit drauf gegangen - TEUER. Zerbröseltes Ausrückelager. Der Kunststoffring gehört auch irgendwie noch zum Aurückelager. Aber damit nicht genug, Zuhause angekommen habe ich dann noch was entdeckt:. Mein linkes und mein rechtes Auspuffrohr .
