Tom's Blog: April 2015
http://pommytom.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 30, 2015. Just Jamie and I this morning at 6.10am for 1, 2, 3, 4, 1 min efforts off a 1 min jog recovery. Did a 4km warm up, into it then a 5km warm down. Throat a bit better but legs a bit lethargic so another easy day tomorrow will definitely be needed. 13km all up. Jamie going well. Could be a sub34 chance. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. A rest day for me today plus worried about a sore throat. So my girls are both through to District while the boys can concentrate on their XBox skills.

http://ohm-run.blogspot.com/2015/08/wharves.html
Race, Brunch, Repeat. My running, swimming, cycling and eating adventures in Sydney. Friday, August 07, 2015. Simply running for the enjoyment and not thinking about the race pipeline or nor any training schedule. Lower back is also remarkably better today. It's been feeling like a slipped disc until now. Headed around Hickson wharves with Matt (work) for a 6km recovery. Pace was 6 min/km and I had zero interest pushing harder. He dropped off at CQ, leaving me to finish with 10x120m strides. Race, Brunch, Repeat. My running, swimming, cycling and eating adventures in Sydney. City Mile Dash - 8th place (4:40). Saturday, August 15, 2015. Beautiful day to be the first to venture down the new Barangaroo track. Last effort at the City Mile Dash in 2012 - 5:10. Had zero plans to race, but then CT throws me a bone on Tuesday with a last-minute fill in for the mixed team. If I paid $45 for every 1.6km run, I'd be in slavery. Good spectacle up front with all sorts of surging. CT's doing all the w...

Race, Brunch, Repeat. My running, swimming, cycling and eating adventures in Sydney. Monday, August 03, 2015. Terrible back pain - getting out of bed took incredible willpower. It may be self-serving but running seems to help (after a few km). 13km in 63 min at 4:53 min/km. Upon cooling down and sitting on a chair, I realised I was unable to move. Can't be a good thing. Race, Brunch, Repeat. My running, swimming, cycling and eating adventures in Sydney. Thursday, August 13, 2015. Some mild soreness under the left foot, swelling perhaps? Often arises after a heavy week (or three). Took it very easy with 11km around Hickson wharves and down to Pyrmont. Pace was 5:30s, helped by Matt and Wooey also recovering from solid 58 min C2S efforts. Barangaroo still remains closed. Shame. Will look to run the City Mile Dash tomorrow with CT, LJ and Jackie.
