The Reina Household: Random What-Nots
http://artandlaura.blogspot.com/2013/07/random-what-nots.html
Friday, July 26, 2013. So stuff has been happening, just random stuff about this and that, seems exciting to read about huh? My favorite picture is last, so if nothing else scroll to the end to see. We picked a car seat, it was option.none of the above. I found some in stores to 'touch' and debated and hum-hawed and finally picked a different one. It will arrive Tuesday so we can take it to California on Friday. I hope I love it, I've only doubted my decision 25 times. Here was the menu:. More than anyth...

Monday, July 8, 2013. It was in that moment, or looking back upon it, that things suddenly made sense. This blog post has been bouncing around in my head for some time now, but I could never figure out how to put the words and the feelings together. But standing there telling that young - enthusiastic, but exhausted - man to savor the moments, my understanding became clear. The following day I went to school, what else do you do? I told her. I lost it. Cry #1. How could I not give him a hug? I agreed, it...

Saturday, July 6, 2013. Clinging to the side of the bed. So I'm putting in my 2-cents, and then I'm moving on from blogging about my child's sleep, because really, who wants to read that? First - EVERY child is different. So don't think that your child, or your parenting skills are broken because what 'they' said didn't work for you. Second - Only you. So here's how we did it: (And by 'did it' I mean, "currently doing it and crossing fingers praying that it's done"). 4 Now we follow the same routine with...

Sunday, June 9, 2013. I love it when people blog - I hate it when I don't. So I'm catching up. Here is what has happened in the last 2 months:. 1 I finished my 2nd year at Edith Bowen - yeah! I love it. I learn something new every day, and get to take on challenging tasks. 3 At the same time as testing I was finishing my 14th? 6 Art has started the downstairs bedroom rebuild, it's going to be awesome when he's done. Currently it's many piles of wood. 7 Miles got his newborn - oops, 7 month - pictures tak...

Sunday, September 8, 2013. Ok, that's a bit dramatic, life has not actually ended. But time to enjoy it has. That's not true either, I get home from school to big (little) open arms and a cheesy grin, then we lay on the floor and play and hide in the curtains and cuddle and it makes me forget everything until morning when it all starts again. What do I do you ask? Well, someone recently asked me, and it was not easy to answer, so I'll try it in writing). I am the . BTSALP Arts Integration Specialist (Bev...

Wednesday, June 26, 2013. On Being a Stay-at-Home Mom. There are some perks of that job too. Silly kid, lots of learning, playing on the floor daily, and NO staples. Miles and I spend A LOT of time on the floor playing. There are a few things that I absolutely love about being at home with him every day. We spend a lot of time on the floor and he wallers all over me (he thinks he's king of the mountain when he makes it over my legs). And he attentively listens as I read. He is a blankey boy. Picture ...

Wednesday, July 31, 2013. I have about 720 oz. of milk in my freezer. The freezer is full. One half milk, the other half cookies. Seems fitting. We have no ice. I'm considering not pumping in San Diego. The thought is making me nervous. I think I'm a milk-hoarder. Ok, it's not this bad, but I aspire to such greatness. Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Oh what a book. Last night I finished My Family for the War. By Anne Voorhoeve, I stayed up until 10:00 - for 4 nights in a row - because I couldn't stop reading.
