The purpose of this blog is to document the constructing of LED tail lights for a 2003 Toyota Matrix XR. Saturday, September 12, 2009. 3rd Brake Build Continued. The epoxy and fiberglass have cured forming a nice structure. One layer seems to do the trick since its not a structural piece. After some preliminary trimming and sanding in my new "isolation chamber" (can be seen on my Project SkimBoard. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). LED 3rd Brake light Completed! LED Taillight Build: April 2010
http://onlyjus-projectledtaillight.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
The purpose of this blog is to document the constructing of LED tail lights for a 2003 Toyota Matrix XR. Monday, April 19, 2010. So I am still trying to figure out how to the heck to make this thing look good. So I am now thinking that if I get a typical cylindrical LED instead of these high flux square ones, I might be able to just drill holes and slide the LEDs through the back of the foam insert. I think this might work the best. So I bought various LEDs from superbrightleds.com. Core i5 Computer Build.

Python for Photographers: Image Stacking: Averaging
http://onlyjus-photopy.blogspot.com/2012/09/image-stacking.html
Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Image stacking using python is fast, efficient, and allows for custom filtering during the stacking process. Why would you want to stack images? So, how do we do this in python? Essentially the easiest stacking is to simply add up all the pixel values for all the desired images, and divide by the number of images, creating an average image. Building on our knowledge of PIL. We can write a script starting with importing the required libraries:. First = True for img in imgList:.

DIY CNC: March 2011
http://onlyjus-cnc.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
This blog has been created to document my DIY CNC machine so that others can do it too! Thursday, March 17, 2011. I managed to mount the stepper motor for the X axis and connect it to the lead screw with the flex couplings I got off eBay. After running the X axis back and forth and running through the EMC2 default G-code, I realized that I am going to need bearings to keep the nylon sheet from lifting off the rails. So, I built two bearings. Two bearings on the underside, catercorner to each other. Core ...

DIY CNC: Z axis almost done!
http://onlyjus-cnc.blogspot.com/2011/12/z-axis-almost-done.html
This blog has been created to document my DIY CNC machine so that others can do it too! Thursday, December 15, 2011. Z axis almost done! I have not posted in a while, but I have been making progress! The lead screws fit the skate board bearings nicely so I decided to cut two ends with pockets for the skateboard bearings. I had to play with the tolerances to get a nice press fit of the bearing into the ends. The ends turned out really nice! So that I can use 1/4" end-mills and have more power!

LED Taillight Build: January 2010
http://onlyjus-projectledtaillight.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
The purpose of this blog is to document the constructing of LED tail lights for a 2003 Toyota Matrix XR. Tuesday, January 5, 2010. I haven't posted on here in a while. Unfortunately, I am not too happy with the way the foam turned out. it is to soft and does not look good. Even with the epoxy on it. I am currently experimenting with 0.22" acrylic from the local Lowe's. Hopefully it will turn out better. If not I'll be needing to find a different material. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Cigar Box Guitar: CBG#2
http://onlyjus-cbg.blogspot.com/2010/09/cbg2.html
The purpose of this blog is to describe my cigar box guitar travels. Tuesday, September 7, 2010. I just finished my second Cigar Box Guitar build and it turned out better then my first one. I took an acoustic guitar approach for this one. I used a 24 9/16" Gibson scale. The neck is made of oak. This time I did not use fiberglass to stiffen the neck as I did in my first CBG build. I glued popular to the side of the headstock and routed the edge with my dremel. I decided to pass the strings through the cig...

Project SkimBoard: Isolation Chamber
http://onlyjus-projectskimboard.blogspot.com/2009/08/isolation-chamber.html
The purpose of this blog is to document the construction of a foam core composite skim board. Monday, August 31, 2009. I am currently in the process of building a chamber out of Plexiglas so that I can cut and sand the fiberglass composite without it going all over my apartment or in my lungs. Here is the current progress. Hopefully when I get this done I can continue my work on the skim board. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Core i5 Computer Build. View my complete profile.
