Tuesday, September 23, 2008. Apple Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. 1 1/2 c. sugar. Mix in the following ingredients by hand:. 1 tsp baking soda. 1/4 tsp. salt. 4 green apples (peeled and diced). 1 c chopped walnuts. Bake in a greased 9 x 13 cake pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. After it has baked and cooled, spread the frosting on the cake and sprinkle walnuts on top to garnish. 8 oz package cream cheese. 3 tbsp. butter. 1 tbsp. vanilla. 1 1/2 to 2 cups powdered sugar. Beat with mixer until smooth.
