Monday, November 24, 2008. Larry so wanted to travel to the Oregon coast to go crabbing this year. But the cost of fuel was going to be over $500 to get there from Montana. So we opted instead to cook at home. Those bad boys aren't cheap coming all the way from Maine but they sure were cheaper than $500 and were mighty tasty. Now that looks good. Thursday, June 17, 2010. The end. of yogurt adventure. Ok this one is for my friend Heidi who is bugging me to finish this post about the yogurt. It was very easy to do, just time consuming. But very well worth the effort. If you have good quality milk and a good starter. Go for it. The yogurt is creamy and tangy. The longer you let it incubate the tangier it will get. I drained some to use as yogurt cheese. I doctored it up with herbs and it was very tasty. So there you have it. The end. Our Bus and Us.

Tuesday, July 27, 2010. There is a place called Lapin's Garden near where we are for the summer. It is a very unique place for music, fun, laughter, food and friends. You can bring your own wine or beer, a picnic and enjoy a concert. Each one is different. Thursday, June 17, 2010. On our journey north we stopped in Williams AZ to play tourist. It was Memorial Day weekend and the town was starting it's festivities with a parade. After the parade we did a little junking at a local swapmeet/flea market then walked the main street to find a local singer/guitarist playing outdoors at a funky diner with outdoor seating. Sunday, May 09, 2010. Next to last step. 18 Hours in incubation. The final product looks nice and thick but it has to chill 24 hours before consumption. So we'll keep you posted. Saturday, May 08, 2010. I am giving it a go using fresh goat's milk and an organic Greek yogurt culture. It takes anywhere from 8-24 hours for it to ferment. So check back to see the results.
