We are back in Australia and reinstalled in our Woollahra apartment, but packing up to move to sunny Randwick. Might I say it's more than a tad depressing! It would be very nice to still be wandering the streets of London, although we are very sorry to hear about the attempted car bombings. While must people be so cruel? We just got back from an evening checking out Soho, where we had some tasty Japanese for dinner. So, all in all, an enjoyable last day of our holiday. It's hard to believe that it's come to an end. Monday, June 27, 2011. For my 10th birthday my mum decided to include homemade sherbet cones on the menu. Thanks to The Australian Women’s Weekly recipe cards, we had the recipe for sherbet and marshmallow, albeit, on different cards. My clever mum bought flat bottomed square cones, half filled them with sherbet and then topped them with pink or green marshmallow. Of course each had a liberal sprinkling of hundreds and thousands. 1 cup pure icing sugar. 189; tsp bicarbonate of soda. 190; tsp tartaric acid.

The good news is resting your cookies for one or two days is really good for laying down icing. It gives the butter a chance to drop and reduces the risk of grease absorbing into your icing and discolouring the final finish. Our European Adventures
Tuesday, February 17, 2009. My cousin, Kristi, arrived in Germany to live for one year on January 31st. Last weekend (President's day) we traveled to Berlin for a few days. It was awesome! We took a Fat Tire Bike Tour through the huge city and enjoyed such views as: the Brandenburg Tor gate, the Reichstag (parliament building), the Berliner Dom. We also took a short train ride to Potsdam, a very rich city outside of Berlin, to visit many palaces/castles. Monday, December 8, 2008. Welcome to our blog!

This is a shot of the front of La Pedrera, an apartment building that Gaudi was asked to design, which showed the growing consumerism of Barcelona in the 1920s. One apartment is on display and is decorated with genuine 1920s furniture, although it is not the exact furniture used at the time. This is a light fitting in the hallway. Monday, July 2, 2007.
