St John’s Church Ivington. 21 April, 2012 by Lesley. Graveyard of the local Church of England. Many of the older gravestones are too worn to be read. We didn't find any of our family, whom we summise would have been buried here as the Chapel at Ivington Green has no graveyard. Spring flowers are at their end, seen either side of the path way to the church entrance. Spring flowers are at their end, seen either side of the path way to the church entrance. Montgomery Court – Lesley Watson’s Blog

Lesley Watson’s Blog. The banner above is a picture of the roof tops of a block of flats in Chiswick. Which I found on the web. Rather amazingly it is of the flats where I lived for many years at a teenager. This is not actually the block I lived in, there were three blocks identically built and I lived with my family in the middle, on the third floor. Even so, rather romantically, I can imagine our three bedroomed flat and its internal layout just by looking at this picture. The picture above is of bloc...

Lesley Watson’s Blog. When we first moved there it was good to be in a proper place with your own front door. It was still early days after the war and Mum and Dad’s first home was in Stonehill Road. We lived at No. 12. There was no numbers 2 – 10, it was just bombed rubble. Chiswick had had its share of doodlebugs. Flying bombs). At No 12 we shared rooms with a couple in a small terraced typical of any found in London. It was OK just. Played for Queen’s Park Rangers. And his wife Jackie. One last thing ...

Lesley Watson’s Blog. The Cato Family History of William Cato and Sons Limited. Written and Compiled by:. Little has been researched into the history of the Cato name prior to William James Cato 1852-1912. As far as the present generation is concerned, their known history commences with William James Cato (1852 – 1913) who traded as a corn, flour and seed merchant at 313 Chiswick High Road. His family home was in nearby Elliott Road. His mother Mrs W J Cato (1866- 1938) moved into the rooms over the shop.

Welcome to my family tree website. Main family names for James. I started researching our family tree almost by accident in 2004. I acquired a free trial of a computer program for the purpose and was so impressed that I bought the full version. From then on there was no stopping. In fact I got so wrapped up in it that for a while my wife considered herself to be a genealogy widow! Then there was the problem of how to give easy access to all the information I had gathered to our families. Equally, if you ...
