Thursday, August 7, 2014. Some gems from our family get away. Like two years ago, the day after we arrived we headed to Indian River for Mass at Cross in the Woods. It is such a peaceful place and I know Jake and I were looking forward to returning. The weather for the week ended up being mediocre at best. MI, what's up with you? This summer has been much cooler than normal and northern MI gets it even worse. 60's in July was not what I had imagined. BUT, we made the best of it. Friday, July 18, 2014.

Friday, July 18, 2014. Obviously) some time has past since I last updated the blog. This little space has taken a back seat as the girls have gotten older. We are on the go more often, Novina prefers her days filled with projects, and I cherish my hour or two every afternoon when the girls nap (yes they both still nap! BUT Jake has really encouraged me to get back at it and the joy that he, the girls, and extended family get looking back at the posts is enough for me to at least attempt to get back at it.

Sunday, February 23, 2014. Three year old is potty trained! It was a daunting job but it got done. Potty training is not for the weak! Potty training is no joke. That evening Jake took over and I locked myself in our bedroom with our (twice) clean sheets. He saved us and luckily convinced Amelia that we were not backing down. Oh Amelia, you are a stubborn one. But super cute in those underwear. She has to pee all the time. So proud of this little (big) success. Way to go Amelia. July 2, 2014 at 11:07 AM.

Sunday, February 23, 2014. We lucked out with some awesome snow days and my parents just happen to have a great sledding hill for little ones. :). Two of the prettiest mommas to be. Leah with baby girl and Briana with little itty baby. Briana and Todd surprising us with the pregnancy announcement was by far my favorite Christmas present of 2013. Annual tradition of reading the Advent Storybook. This was our last story on Christmas Eve. Christmas hangover. See ya soon Christmas 2014.

30 days: 30 things I’ve never done. When we decided to move into a vacation rental for FIVE whole months, I went into a mode of complete excitement to know I would be able to bring multiple high heels into the house, stock up on groceries, and fully unpack. At the same time, I went into complete panic mode: was our LifeVenture over? Am I going to get comfortable again and not want to move? Not want to try new things? Not want to pack up every month or so? This challenge is way harder than I expected!
