Setting up a IIS environment. We were in need of an IIS environment to test various things internally. It just so happened that AWS provide a Windows Server 2012 AMI, so it was easy to spin up a micro instance. The procedure was fairly simple, after the headache the GUI gave me had subsided. To anyone setting up their own IIS server, I recommend taking 2 Ibuprofen about 30 minutes before starting, to counteract the GUI you’ll be struggling to comprehend for the next hour or two.
