Poppiies Product Design AS. Thursday, 8 October 2009. Pouring molten metal into a prepared cavity in a sand mould and allowing it to solidify. Steel and aluminium are most commonly used in this process. Ideally suited to manufacture a one off product. Advantages - Cheap , easy, Hardly any waste and all waste metal can be recast. Even the sand can be reused. Wax will dissapear and all impurities will remove themselves through the bottom air hole. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hard and Soft woods.

Thursday, 8 October 2009. Different types of wood. We use manufactured board rather than wood because the wood may still be moist and could change shape or rot (a lumber is usually around 70% water). Another reason is because it is widely available compared to wood. Manufactured board comes in sizes every 3mm. This is because it is much easier and more efficient for manufacturers as well as consumers. The average size of a piece of manufactured board is 1.24m X 2.44m (8'X4'). Simon's AS blog: I should never have purchased...
http://simonclarkpd.blogspot.com/2009/09/i-should-never-have-purchased.html
Friday, 4 September 2009. I should never have purchased. A few months ago I bought an Accurist silver watch from Argos. I needed a watch to be more organised and keep track of the time more. I began to realise that the quality of the product was not sound and regretted buying the watch. Although it looked good at first, it turned out not to be practical or a good buy. A boy and his family. Sunday, March 16, 2014. It has been five months since Owen's passing. I look back on this blog with such complex emotions; Sadness, heartbreak, joy, intense longing, and celebration of all we were able to accomplish together, despite the odds. Our journey was so profoundly beautiful and I struggle regularly with the fact that we had grown comfortably into. And so I continue to walk. To remember. Celebrate. Grieve. Live. And to discover who I am now. Monday, April 11, 2011. Owen's re...

June 21, 2017. After last year's successful Presidential Traverse. We headed up from Massachusetts on Friday night in separate cars. It rained the whole ride up and the Higher Summits Forecast. For Saturday was calling for summits in the clouds with a chance of showers and drizzle throughout the day. Typical! Asked one guy as he was walking by - "We are" I said. "We'll see you in the morning then! We grabbed our packs, put on our headlamps, snapped a couple pictures, and headed off up Valley Way. He said...

Published on October 30, 2014. Filed in 52 With A View. In my previous Mount Avalon. Post, I described how we managed to get in a 52 With A View peak during our recent trip to AL and UP’s condo in the White Mountains. However, what I didn’t mention in that post is that during that same trip, and on the very next day after hiking Mount Avalon, we bagged another peak! Published on October 15, 2014. Filed in 52 With A View. After we both had to do the same thing 4 years ago. Published on September 29, 2014.

The Time of Day. Tuesday, March 13, 2018 RECENT NOTES. Art of “Writing”. Today we went to Abu Dhabi where we spent several hours in the new-ish Louvre. We liked it! While there we wandered into the souvenir shop where we perused the books. We felt as though we could have bought any of them cheaper in Kiasma, which struck us as somewhat odd. I first noticed this late last year when I discovered Decentraland had an auction of virtual land and I went to see what this meant exactly. Today I found Tokeniz...
