Urban Courtyard | Oxford Garden Partners

Town garden with spring-fed pool. Town garden with spring-fed pool. 8216;I love my garden, it’s the best decision I’ve made in a few years. ‘ Cathy, Oxford. Our client had a classic urban problem – lovely Victorian terraced house, with a basement kitchen facing a tiny back garden 1.5m above the floor level of the kitchen, accessed by ugly concrete steps. What she wanted was something elegant, easy to maintain, another room where she could relax and entertain. View from first floor.

Walled Village Garden | Oxford Garden Partners

Town garden with spring-fed pool. Town garden with spring-fed pool. Walled Garden, Oxfordshire Village. 8216;My wife and I are delighted to have invited Oxford Garden Partners to redesign our back garden. We quickly counted them as friends, as well as enjoying every aspect of their practical skills and eye for design ‘ Michael Bourdeaux. Hoggin path with bespoke rose arches; raised vegetable beds; new borders-for sun loving plants; new shade planting amongst mature shrubs; old stone wall revealed.

Productive Garden | Oxford Garden Partners

http://www.oxfordgardenpartners.com/productive-garden

Town garden with spring-fed pool. Town garden with spring-fed pool. Ornamental and productive garden, Oxford. Our clients had a large and promising urban space – very overgrown, with a disused pond in the middle. They were managing to grow some fruit and vegetables, but wanted a dedicated productive garden as well as an ornamental garden near the house. At the bottom of the garden was a well-designed garden office, which gave a focus for thinking about the over all design. Sketch plan for new garden.

Small Town Garden | Oxford Garden Partners

Town garden with spring-fed pool. Town garden with spring-fed pool. They had quite a number of roses and bulbs they wanted to keep, so part of the brief was to design planting around the existing plants. Hoggin and gravel garden for sunny area; Metal arches to link terrace to rest of the garden. Cistus, Anthemis ‘Lemon Ice’, Sysinrinchium, Lavender, Rosemary for the gravel beds; Clematis alpina ‘Ruby’ for the arches; Dahlias and bulbs for seasonal interest. New ironwork arches as seen from above.

Gardens, plants, and people – news and views from a community gardener. Starting Over… rain and flooding, moving allotment. February 18, 2013 in Starting over. What do you do when the allotment plot you’ve loved and nurtured for 5 years becomes increasingly waterlogged and flooded? Try to improve the soil, the drainage, use more raised beds – or move? Rightly or wrongly, I’ve decided to move, and this is the beginning of the story of Starting Over…. All the veg. Even a very dilapidated shed.
