Tim in Georgia: The Devil's Wheel!
http://timingeorgia.blogspot.com/2007/12/devils-wheel.html
This is a blog to chronicle my experiences in the Republic of Georgia as a Peace Corps TEFL volunteer. *The views expressed herein are mine and are not necessarily those of the Peace Corps or the US Government.*. The textbook I am co-writing is nearly finished, it is in the translating phase now. Additionally, several Volunteers from the newer group (arrived June 2007) have expressed interest in working on this project, so the chances of it becoming sustainable have increased. This is a blog to chronicle my experiences in the Republic of Georgia as a Peace Corps TEFL volunteer. *The views expressed herein are mine and are not necessarily those of the Peace Corps or the US Government.*. I had a very interesting food experience this weekend. I was back in Sveneti spending some time and while there I carved a pig's head and ate it. Pretty fatty, but also very delicious. I got a 8 (out of 10)? But I almost got 50% on the test! Tim, I had no idea you cared! Unlike most Georgian fam...

A journal of my Peace Corps service in the Republic of Georgia, 2006-2008. Thursday, February 07, 2008. I am cold, but not dead. Well, I've let this blog sit and languish over the winter for far too long. What's happened over the time away? Georgia has been in the grip of the coldest winter in a decade- leaving me without water for weeks (seriously, can insulation really be that hard? I'll post more on all this. I separated the links from the Georgia blogs. Fascinating, I know. Also, the blog is hitting the big time! I heard that Tom Hanks made a movie about being a PC volunteer, coincidetally called "Volunteers." I watched EuroTrip before going to Europe last summer, so I guess I should watch this ...

My town and its environs:. Second of all, a sign that American culture is invading my beatiful, unadulterated Sakartvelo. Why they even make a shirt like this in such a small size I have no idea. Me at the edge of my town. The scenery is awesome everywhere. Posted by Tim @ 15:11. Muy feo, verdad?

Where is Nickum?: July 2006

Probably saving the children of Darfur through his poetry and interpretive dance. Only this will stop the slaughter, not the UN or negotiations, for that would be foolish. No, only my fluid dance movements and the scattered words on a page can melt the coldness of cruelty. Sunday, July 23, 2006. Cuttino's Georgian Life: Moving On...
http://cuttinoalexander.blogspot.com/2011/04/moving-on.html
A journal of my Peace Corps service in the Republic of Georgia, 2006-2008. Monday, April 25, 2011. The war was a sad and shocking end to my Peace Corps service, as these final posts reflect. The good news, however, is that the ultimate nightmare scenarios did not come to be. Things were tragically set back, but the resilient Georgians picked up the pieces and moved on with the rebuilding and reforming of their nation. Epistles from the Caucasus.
