Monday, July 14, 2008. BASSARU WITH SABSIGE SOPPU PALYA. Sabsige soppu(Dill leaves) 1 bunch. Toor Dal 1.5cup. Garlic 4 pods chopped. Onion 1 chopped finely. Mustard seeds 2 ts. 1)Pressure cook toor dal and dill leaves with little turmeric and more. Water for 1 whistle. 2)When dal is cooked drain the water. 3)Blend together 4Tblsp of cooked dal,2 garlic,coconut,sambar powder and. Water to make smooth paste. 4)Heat oil in a pan add jeera,curry leaves and hing. It to boil and simmer for 5 mins.

Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp. 1)Wash mustard green and spinach. 2)In a pan boil mustard,spinach and green chillies.Remove excess water and blend. 3)Heat butter in a pan and add cumin seeds when it splutters add ginger and garlic saute until it is light brown.

Lemon juice 1 tblsp. Heat oil in a pan, when it is hot add mustard, when it splutters add urad dal, chana dal , green chilli , ginger and curry leaves. Monday, September 7, 2009. Kusubalakki Rotti (Boiled rice rotti). Boiled rice (Kusubalakki) 1 cup. Long grain rice ¼ th cup. Red Onion 1 finely chopped. Green chilies 2 finely chopped. Ginger 1 inch finely chopped. Curry leaves 1 strand finely chopped. Grated coconut 1 tblsp. Wash and Soak boiled rice and long grain rice together in 3 cups of water overnight. Grind the soaked rice to smooth paste adding little water at a time. The batter has to be thick. Add all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

Red chilli powder - 1tsp. 1)Cut thondekayi into 2 pieces and lightly punch with back of your knife. 2)Heat oil in a pan and add mustard and curry leaves. 3)When mustard starts spluttering add garlic and fry for 2 min. 4)Then add thondekayi and let it cook in medium low heat for 10min.Do not add water.Stir in between. 6)Turn off the heat and serve with hot rice or roti.
