Astronomy Program - Jewett Observatory - Mars Close Approach 2003

http://astro.wsu.edu/mars2003.html

Department of Physics and Astronomy. Mars 2003 Close Approach:. Huge Crowds Swamp Jewett Observatory. Prepared a press release, and shortly after Michael and I firmed up the observatory schedule reporters began to call. The Spokane Spokesman-Review article, 8-23-03, front page. Gave an early start. A misprint in this article, that our first open night would be Sunday the 24th, caused several to show up to a deserted observatory that night. Monday night was clear, and about 300 people showed up wi...For t...

I have dropped my online Calendar application. Even though I made posting free, the traffic had dwindled to pretty much nothing, and I could no longer justify the annual application rental. But I do want to keep the site active, so it has become simply a clearing house for the many arts and crafts and events calendars that already exist. I will continue to post resources as I find them. Please email me. If you have calendars you'd like to see added here.

Polouse Arts Council

January 22, 2017. January 17, 2017. The Expressionist artists helped to create new standards when it came to creating art and how art itself was judged. Instead of art being a mere depiction of the visual world around us, it came to be what the artist felt within. The quality of art started being an assessment of what the artist was feeling more than an analysis of the composition of the painting. At the local art museum, the expressionist art exhibit was always my favorite. February 12, 2017. Surrealism...
