I can probably take the time to unpack all the psychological reasons why but it's the last day of the year and I wanted to humbly share some of "the bests" of this year for me. This shaking keeps me steady. Wednesday, February 9, 2011. I just got a super encouraging email. The Spirit clicked in my mind an organization that a church in Binghamton was connected with that counsels and supports pregnant women to make the best possible decisions for their lives. I reached out to them and they came to speak to our class! For me personally, it helped me make informed opinions about the current abortion pro-choice/pro-life issues. Praise God for His faithfulness!

This shaking keeps me steady. Monday, March 7, 2011. I just read a really great story. I didn't know there was a devastating civil war in Nepal from 1996-2006. I also didn't know that this war tore families apart as parents were afraid that their kids would be recruited to the rebel armies. They instead had to trust a man who told them that he would take them to a safe place, clothe them, feed them, educate them. Could they trust him? Could they risk the alternative? They sent their children with the man.

Meeting up with one of our volunteers, Carrie Hartman, has been amazing. She's really a beautiful woman that chases after the heart of God. I'm so lucky to have the opportunity to meet up with her and learn about so many things. It's been so comforting and challenging. I feel incredibly blessed to be nurtured and taught by such a great woman of God. It's crazy....

Monday, January 13, 2014. Where does the time go? How is she 10 already? Maddy’s birthday was on a Monday. The first day back to school after Christmas break. I picked up Macaroni Grill for dinner for the birthday girl. She had a double doozie cookie for dessert and then opened presents from us. One of her presents was a Mani/Pedi. This girl loves to be pampered. We had her party at the skating rink. It was wonderful……….all I did was bring cupcakes. She is a great big sister! Happy Birthday Madison Kay!
