Land of Many Waters. Peace Corps in Guyana. Friday, January 25, 2013. Last week I took a five day vacation (my first trip outside Guyana! To the Caribbean island of Tobago with a couple other volunteers, Lauren and Jennie. Jennie’s mother and grandmother were able to get a timeshare at a beach club in Tobago, which was real nice! It was the perfect getaway from Guyana. There were even three hot tubs! No brown for a change! We probably checked out about 5 different beaches. there were also mountains!
