PAO surgery – a patients (happy) perspective. I'm a 36 year old Dad of 2 amazing children. My passions are triathlon, running and cycling . I also have a less than perfect left hip which I hope has been made slightly more perfect following a recent PAO surgery. Getting used to Hospital food – days 3,4 and 5. 1) it’s all about the gluteus maximus (aka bum) muscle. 2) when I do the exercises and it hurts, it isn’t the bone that is causing the pain. I was getting into the hospital routine of sleeping, eating, physio, resting and being cheered up by Katerina coming to visit me.
