http://juliasfoodblog.blogspot.com/2011/11/herby-pork-chops-112211.html
Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Herby Pork Chops - 11/22/11. For my first post I am having for dinner my Herby Pork Chops with Mashed Sweet Potatoes and Peas. My hubby Michael just had his wisdom teeth out so I made him some Mashed Sweet Potatoes. I made so much! They call themselves an online farmer's market. The peas are just the frozen kind from Trader Joe's with a little organic butter. It is so hard to buy organic but I always buy organic milk, butter, and eggs. I can taste the difference.

And here our silliness begins. Fabric Origami Fan Necklaces. November 5, 2012. A couple months ago, I read this post. By Jessica Jones at How About Orange. One of my very favorite DIY/craft blogs. She does a lot of simple, beautiful origami projects, and introduced me to one of my favorite products, fabric stiffener. She uses Stiffen Stuff in that post, but I strongly prefer Aleen’s Stiffen Quik.). From her post, I created this fabric necklace (and many, many more. Chalk It Up, Part Two: Hoarders. For ou...

Monday, February 21, 2011. Where's the beef, tacos. We don't do a lot of beef around here, so I thought I'd give one of my favorite ingredients some much overdue love. Sticking with the theme from last night. 1 lb fresh ground beef. 1 cup sweet corn kernels. 1 cup black beans, rinsed. 1/2 red bell pepper, diced. 1 small jalapeño (optional), minced. 1 small yellow onion, diced. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated1 tbsp olive oil. 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (I prefer Lea and Perrins.

January 23, 2011, 6:08 pm. After much discussion, we’ve taken a big step back into the twentieth century sort of. As of January 14, 2011, we no longer subscribe to a cable television service. We thought long and hard before making the change, but in the end, there were just too many good arguments against keeping it. For example:. We figure that between the HD antenna, web services like Hulu and iTunes, the free streaming available through the networks, and Netflix, we won’t lack for digital entertainmen...

Our Own Shade of Green: April 2011
http://ourownshadeofgreen.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Our Own Shade of Green. How green is green enough for our family? Friday, April 29, 2011. Y choosing locally grown foods, we are benefitting local farmers, our local economy, the environment, our health and our tastebuds. Sounds like an easy choice to me. So, where do we start? Seems like every town in our area has it's own weekly seasonal Farmer's Market, in addition to the State Farmer's Market in Raleigh which is open daily year round. There certainly are plenty of options. To find a market near you.
