Quilty Indulgence: July 2011
http://quiltyindulgence.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 23, 2011. This weeks scrappy project is a basket made with 3/4 inch strips of scraps wrapped around cotton clothesline. I love making these baskets! They also make excellent gift baskets - you can use use a theme (here I used brights), or you can use a holiday theme and pack it full of holiday type items. I have made these for Christmas using reds, whites, and greens and then filled them with baked goods. What a gorgeous gift that was! Or what about school colors for the college bound?

Monday, June 18, 2012. The first thing I want to post are photos from my latest, most wonderful project: Adrian's, "Welcome to our World" gift. My sister-in-law is expecting her first child and we are extremely excited about this new addition to our family. Right after she and her husband announced the addition to their family, I discovered Malka Dubrawsky. I think it was fate. When I saw her book,. Monday, November 28, 2011. Rainbow Wrap - A Wonderful Scrappy Gift. Again, keeping to the Scrappy Theme, I just completed the wrap you see above and I found it to be one of the most wonderful projects I have tackled in quite some time. It's called The Rainbow Wrap by the Rag Merchant. It's so fun to make and wouldn't this make the perfect gift? To give you ideas for color choices, I found some photos of finished wraps online and I also included the one I saw at Jacksonville. Aren't they gorgeous? Above i...

Thursday, May 5, 2011. Seriously Late Quilt Retreat Update. Yes, I know. Pathetic. But better late than never, eh? So here are some photos from our fabulous quilt retreat back in February - or was it January? I can't remember now. Funny thing is I couldn't even find the photos I took of my group of gals at the retreat. I actually had to Google "Camp Blanding. Quilt Retreat" to find photos that hopefully someone had posted online, and as luck would have it, I found some! If you are on facebook. Was a marv...

Friday, October 7, 2011. Meet the Teddy Bears. This past January I decided that I was going to learn something new and take a Teddy Bear class from the Master, Francy Gordon of Bears: Plain and Francy. I am very lucky because she lives locally and teaches out of a local quilt shop, Country Quilts and Bears. Lucy was supposed to be Olivia - when she was born her parents named her Lucy instead. Lucy's bear is now called Olivia. Hazel went to Nora. Nora is our youngest grandchild. If you don't want to make ...

Quilty Indulgence: July 2010

Tuesday, July 27, 2010. What are you all sitting on while you sew? But honest, it really did look good when I did it! I covered it with a towel. Really, I did. In the interest of full disclosure I took the towel off the chair for the photograph so you could see how really terrible this chair actually looks! So, the reason for the post? Really, what are YOU sitting on while you sew? Does it need a face lift like mine did? Monday, July 19, 2010. For nearly nine months, while she was being cultivated in my ...
