Superflewis Travels: DC in a Night
http://superflewistravels.blogspot.com/2008/03/dc-in-night.html
Wednesday, March 12, 2008. DC in a Night. And oh what a night it was. I was back in DC earlier this week for a last minute call-back interview with a firm. In a very persuasive effort to woo us potential candidates to the cause, I was given a room in the illustrious Hay-Adams Hotel. Where, as I quickly discovered, "nothing is overlooked but the White House." My top floor room was probably its simplest offering, but it was still by leaps and bounds the nicest place I've ever slept. Help Support My Sister!

Superflewis Travels: January 2008

Wednesday, January 16, 2008. The beauty of siblings is that they write blogs you can steal from. Pauline covered our trip to the White Desert pretty well in two posts. Check them out. Lewis of Arabia (part 1). Http:/ paulinelucy.blogspot.com/2008/01/lewis-of-arabia-part-i.html. Lewis of Arabia (part 2). Http:/ paulinelucy.blogspot.com/2008/01/lewis-of-arabia-part-ii.html. She's even mastered the art of posting pictures! I'm still getting there. Thursday, January 3, 2008. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Superflewis Travels: Happy New Year!
http://superflewistravels.blogspot.com/2008/01/happy-new-year.html
Thursday, January 3, 2008. Only two more days and then on to Tel Aviv. I don't know if I'm ready for another round of school just yet, or the foot of snow that's waiting for me back at home, but I am looking forward to pedestrians having the right of way and air that isn't the equivalent of smoking twenty cigarettes a day. Call me crazy, but I like my lungs. Happy New year, Frances! You always keep me entertained with your fun posts. ;-) Miss you, Estela. January 4, 2008 at 10:13 AM. My Law School Blog.

Superflewis Travels: February 2008
http://superflewistravels.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 28, 2008. Spring Break in the Hospital? Now I'm back in Chicago for the weekend before returning to Ann Arbor. Hopefully I'll finally get a few chances to sleep in. Assuming of course the pager doesn't go off. Sunday, February 24, 2008. DC in a Day. I woke up in my room, and I fell asleep that same night in my room. Just like any other day, right? Do I recommend it? Monday, February 11, 2008. Topeka, Twelve Years Later. You're in Missouri," she smiled politely back. Nope, his sister Ida.

Superflewis Travels: July 2007
http://superflewistravels.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 29, 2007. We Have No Cold Water. I'm sure I've just misheard the lady at the front desk. It's standard after all for places in Russia to lose their hot water for about a month in the summer. Why is not clear, but people are used to not asking why so it continues. The woman repeats - we have no cold water. The most information I could glean was that the whole city would be like this until monday. Maybe the city just forgot there were more than 28 days in July. Friday, July 27, 2007. Val and I...

Superflewis Travels: June 2007
http://superflewistravels.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 30, 2007. Strength for the Journey - aka Pilgrim Radio. The drive itself has been smooth sailing otherwise. And by smooth, I mean beautiful. It had been a while since I was last in the Tahoe area, and boy was I sorry I didn't come up here more often! And now I sit safe (because I've barricaded my deadbolt-less room with the table and a trash can) and sound (at least we hope, did I mention the room has no deadbolt? Who knew Elko, Nevada would have no vacancies in all seven of its hotels?

Superflewis Travels: September 2007
http://superflewistravels.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 30, 2007. Wonder why I dropped off the face of the blogging planet? I can give you three reasons, though most of them are just lame excuses:. 1) I stopped traveling. My blog is, after all, supposed to be about travels. Something feels a little strange about a public journal if all I did was eat breakfast, go to class, eat dinner, go to bed. Riveting, eh? 2) I started law school. Meaning I actually have real work to do: classes to attend, books to read, people to meet, etc. My Law School...

Superflewis Travels: December 2007
http://superflewistravels.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 30, 2007. The Desert in December. It's been one week since I arrived in Tel Aviv, and at the same time it feels like so much more and so much less. Just yesterday I was studying for exams (shudder), but we've also managed to do so much here in just a short period of time. The next day we woke up early because Pauline put together a great package trip to the white desert. Thursday, December 27, 2007. Sunday, December 23, 2007. Prague: The 16 Hour Tour. 7am - My plane lands. We're actu...

Can you feed me?: Pho by The Real Mamma Dang
http://canyoufeedme.blogspot.com/2011/02/pho-by-real-mamma-dang.html
Can you feed me? E Guete, Bon Appétit, Enjoy! Sunday, February 6, 2011. Pho by The Real Mamma Dang. Last night I went to my good friends' house for a special dinner. Homemade pho. Her parents were in town, so it was a chance for me to "learn" how to make it. She explained all the steps, and I got to watch, but I don't think she was ready to chance the outcome on my helping out! The house smelled wonderful, and the soup was amazing. No recipe, but here's the gist. Homemade Mamma Dang Pho. Onions, 3 whole.
