Repertoire covers everything from the 15th Century until the present day, and the nature of the choir allows a much wider and more complex repertoire to be covered than in many Cathedrals with boy choristers. The main Cathedral choir sings alongside the Cathedral Girls’ Choir, who sing services once a week with the Lay Vicars, and who join with the Cathedral Choir for special events. Big passion for Alsatian wine (it goes very well with cricket, and also with practically any food you could mention – particularly curry oddly enough). I try to travel to the Alsace every couple of years, visiting my favourite growers, and generally just doing a lot of tasting, and spending rather too much money! Travel and other musings. I like to travel, but I’m not really the back-packing sort. This maybe why I still haven’t been to South America, which is something I really want to do. My last major trips have been cruises, which I enjoy since I have a rather short attention span, so being somewhere different everyday, whilst being wonderfully looked after, is very appealing to me. A few of my favourite photos from my travels. Beech forest from the Routeburn track. Mt Aspiring National Park. The Routeburn Track is one of New Zealand’s “Great Walks”. The Eastern end rises up from near Glenorchy (at the North end of Lake Wakatipu), through the marvellous evergreen beech forest of the Mt Aspiring National Park.
