Gadwall (pair on Turtle Pond - a bit frustrating since I missed this species for the first time ever on the Birdathon last weekend). Hairy Woodpecker (1; by the Belvedere). This morning while leading my AMNH bird walk in central Park I received a text message from James Knox that he had found a Cerulean Warbler near the overlook on the ridge in Inwood Hill Park. There is now a variety of butterflies in evidence around the park. Sean and I drove up to Wurtsboro, NY on Friday and did a little scouting on Friday afternoon before checking in to the Days Inn and going across the road to finishing shopping for supplies for the weekend.
